The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Personality Traits among undergraduate students towards intention to join the hospitality industry in Institutions of Higher Learning in the Greater Kuala Lumpur. This study employed Five-Factor Model of Personality Traits known as openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. A quantitative approach was employed. Questionnaires were distributed via online questionnaires. In total 397 responses were collected. Descriptive statistics and Correlation Analysis conducted for data analysis and Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) was used. This study found that Personality Traits were positively correlated with the intention to join the hospitality industry. Additionally, the result of this study indicated that openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism as the Five-Factor Model of Personality Traits influences the intention of hospitality students to join the hospitality industry in the future. Practically, the outcomes of this study were beneficial to academia to understand the personality among hospitality undergraduate students. Theoretically, the findings of this study also provide academicians with the platform to achieve the valuable information on the current and real situation of hospitality students' intention to join the hospitality industry, thus eliminating gaps between literature and academic findings.
Alumni Kolej Komuniti yang berjaya wajar dijadikan contoh oleh pelajar lain. Penglibatan alumni melalui kepakaran dalam bidang berkaitan profesion mereka sangat penting dalam pembangunan program-program pengajian di kolej komuniti yang merupakan sebuah institusi Pendidikan Teknikal dan Latihan Vokasional Malaysia (TVET). Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti keberkesanan program bersama alumni di kolej komuniti bagi membantu pelajar dalam aspek pengetahuan, peningkatan keyakinan diri serta berdaya saing apabila menempuh dunia pekerjaan. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Pakej Statistik untuk Sains Sosial (SPSS) versi 26 dan ia dinyatakan dalam bentuk analisis deskriptif. Kajian mendapati purata nilai skor tertinggi bagi keberkesanan program ialah 4.58. Aspek kandungan program menunjukkan bahawa skor nilai purata kedua tertinggi sebanyak 4.50. Daripada dapatan analisis pemilihan hala tuju pelajar selepas tamat pengajian, item “menyambung pengajian” mendapat skor tertinggi dan ini bermakna pelajar telah pun menetapkan hala tuju mereka untuk menyambung pengajian ke peringkat diploma selepas tamat pengajian di Kolej Komuniti. Kesimpulannya, program bersama alumni ini didapati berkesan berdasarkan persepsi responden terhadap aspek kandungan, keberkesanan program serta penentuan hala tuju selepas tamat pengajian.

Pendidikan pengajian tinggi mula diperluaskan setelah Perang Dunia Ke-2 kerana kesedaran politik yang semakin meningkat mengenai kepentingannya untuk prospek masa hadapan negara. Kajian ini memfokuskan bagaimana pendidikan pengajian tinggi memberi kesan kepada graduan Malaysia dengan mengkaji perkembangan sistem dari selepas merdeka sehingga sekarang dan bahkan kajian ini juga memfokuskan sehingga tahun 2025. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan, berdasarkan kebanyakan buku, jurnal dah artikel yang layak. Artikel ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti bagaimana sistem pendidikan pengajian tinggi di Malaysia memastikan para graduan mendapat pekerjaan pada masa hadapan.
