Objectives: The study aimed at dentifying the level of emotional divorce and its relationship with psychological stress among married nurses working at the University of Jordan Hospital.
Methods: The study adopted the descriptive-relational approach; for its suitability to the nature of the study and its research purposes. The study sample consisted of (64) nurses. Tow Scales of Emotional Divorce, psychological Stress was developed and their psychometric properties were functionally appropriate when they were extracted.
Results: The results showed that the level of emotional divorce, and the level of psychological stress for both were moderate. There was a positive correlation between emotional divorce and psychological stress. The results also showed that the level of emotional divorce and psychological stress did not differ based on gender, educational level and work experience. and finally, the results showed that the level of emotional divorce and psychological stress varies based on the duration of the marriage and in favor for category married couples who spent more than 10 years.
Conclusions: The study encouraged hospital managements and related authorities on the necessity of directing the attention to the nurse’s psychological aspect because of its impact on their performance, through counseling and training programs, and psychological support groups that help reduce and deal with psychological stress.

The big five factors of dominant personality among the psychological counselors are in order: conscientiousness, openness, extraversion, agreeableness, all of them at a medium level, then neuroticism at a low level. The results also showed that the big five personality factors explained (48.3%) as a statistically significant predictor of counselor’s psychological hardiness.DiscussionThere is an existence of a statistically significant of the big five personality factors in predicting psychological hardiness among psychological counselors working in providing psychosocial support services to refugees and it is consistent with the results of the various studies of different and special society categories.ConclusionsOrganizations working with Refugees as the Institute for Family Health, the Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture, the Child Protection Foundation, and the Society JRC for the rehabilitation of refugees, must invest the personal factors that characterize the counselors in improving their effectiveness in providing services and psychological support.
Background: Marriage preparation ensures a successful and happy family life and reduces the chances of disputes and divorce between partners. The current study aims to identify the effectiveness of a premarital counseling program based on individual psychology theory in reducing fear of intimacy and developing social interest in a sample of single university students in Jordan.
Methods: The study sample comprised 38 single students, evenly distributed into two groups: 19 experimental groups and 19 control groups. In the current study, two measures were used: fear of intimacy and social interest, as well as the group mentoring program, which consisted of 15 sessions.
Results: The results of the study showed that there were differences between the two groups in the pre- and post-measurement of the effect of the group-counseling program for the benefit of the experimental group. The follow-up results also showed that the experimental group retained the effect of the group counseling program.
Conclusion: Conclusion. This study concluded that a premarital group counseling program was effective in reducing fear of intimacy, and social interest, Based on Individual Psychology Approach: The Case of University Single Students in Jordan. Moreover, it was found through follow-up measures that the group counseling program has a long-term effect on adult single students.
