The research aims to study “education democracy " in terms of democratic practices in the educational process, developing a spirit of criticism, plurality of opinions, tolerance towards the opinions of others, respecting the decision of the majority and taking responsibility for the decision. In addition to the relationship between democracy and education, the relationship between democracy and education as a practice, and clarifying the goals of education for democracy, and clarifying areas of democratic awareness, the implications of education for democracy and procedures for developing democratic practices in education and the detection of obstacles to democratic practices in the educational process, and that is in the context of an applied analytical and scientific study based on the researcher's visit to Palestinian educational institutions and his knowledge of their reality, through which the researcher seeks to present what is hoped from the "education democracy" and how should it be applied to reality and what goals should these institutions seek to achieve?
This study aims to describe Campus Response toward Demolition Decision of Khan Al-Ahmar School in Palestine. The research method used is qualitative a case study design. Data were collected using four techniques: in-depth interviews, audio-visual material, study documents, and observations. Validity was confirmed through a focus group interview after completing the results and constancy was verified because the researchers were given the same topics. The results of this study were accessed five themes: safety, fear, support, persistence and oppression. The results of this study contribute to shedding light on the extent of the suffering experienced by students and female employees in the school. Our contribution is to find topics through studying responses, which shed light on the importance of supporters and the role of the media in postponing the enforcement date of demolition decision, as well as prepare a new ground for studies by identifying topics in the results that can be studied in future cases separately and analyzing what are the long-term effects that can appear on students and employees. One of the most important recommendations made by the study is to provide services and material and moral support to the school and village and follow up the case with the lawyer, to enhance their steadfastness.
This paper presents a historical background of the Palestinian education. It outlines a theoretical basis for the development of Human Rights Regimes. The paper tackles the views of some philosophers like Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau and Kant who laid down the foundations for the development of Human Rights Regimes. The paper illustrates that Human Rights grounded in the oldest European civilizations such as in Greek philosophy and in Roman moral and legal thought. Moreover, the paper shows how natural law, social contract, civil constitution and natural rights provide a solid grounding and justification for the development of Human Rights Regimes. After that, the paper tackles the role of education in upholding Human Rights, its approaches, its goals and objectives. The case of the Palestinian universities regarding this matter is also presented.
