A feasible catalytic reactor for oxygen evolution has been proposed, which could complement the current
methods of O2 evolution efficiently and ensure the availability of pure oxygen on a wider scale. Several
chemicals, such as NaI, MnO2, NiSO4, etc. can generally decompose hydrogen peroxide by producing
oxygen as a product via chemical reactions. Meanwhile, the Pt-Pd catalyst efficiently catalyzes hydrogen
peroxide decomposition reactions and generates pure oxygen without any unfriendly species. The
excellence of the bi-metallic catalyst has been validated by the evaluation of turnover number (TON)
and turnover frequency (TOF). Implementing the knowledge of chemical reactions and heterogenous
catalysis, the proposed catalytic reactor could be helpful for generating a continuous flow of oxygen.
Surely, the oxygen produced in this process is higher in amount compared to the oxygen present in the
atmosphere at ambient conditions which might facilitate the breathing support for critically ill patients.
Direct evidence of the control of yield, thermal stability and photoluminescence property of the polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers have been reported by systematically varying the reaction time in the range of 2–6 hours (h) in the synthesis process. Both FTIR and UV–visible spectra revealed the formation of PANI fibers for all synthesis batches. The mass of the obtained PANI was increased with the increase of reaction time from 2 to 6 h. FESEM data confirmed the formation of PANI in nanofibers form for all the synthesis batches. TGA data showed that the highest thermal stability of PANI nanofibers could be obtained for the 4 h reaction time. PL data indeed showed the variation of luminescence intensity of PANI with the reaction time which indicate the formation of different quality fibers in terms of their π conjugation. Thus the three main results can be summarized: one is the increase of PANI fibers yield and another two are the thermal stability and luminescence property modification which shows that such properties of PANI can be controlled by varying the reaction time of the synthesis process.
[RuCl (η6-p-cymene)(ligand 1)] (complex 1) was synthesized by simple mixing of 2-(1-((pyridine-2-
yl)methyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ethyl sodium sulfate (ligand 1) with [RuCl2(η6-p-cymene)]2 in methanol.
The microcrystals of the reported complex were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopic
techniques and elemental analysis. The cytotoxic activity of the ruthenium complex wass tested against
human cancer cells A375, A431, BxPC3, A549, HCT-15, LoVo cancer cell and human nontumor cell
(human embryonic kidney HEK2) by the MTT assay method. The synthesized ruthenium complex
exhibits a limited cytotoxic effect on human cancer cells and also reveals a dose-depended antimetastatic
property against LoVo cancer cell.
Nematodes from plant-parasitic sources are ever-present and incidental to plant growth as well as crop production. The damage of tea gardens caused by nematode is often non-specific and easily confused with symptoms. The present study determined the parasitic and non-parasitic nematodes population in different tea gardens of the Sylhet region by their morphological and partial molecular characterization. Out of 13 tea gardens, it was observed that BTRI, Karimpur, Mathiura, and Tarapur tea garden has the highest number of parasitic and non-parasitic nematodes. After PCR amplification, DNA bands with desired amplicon size were detected by gel electrophoresis. Among thirteen soil samples, nematodes from Malnichara, Karimpur, BTRI, Mathiura , and Finlay had partially confirmed the presence of rootknot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.), root-lesion nematode (Pratylenchus brachyurus), burrowing nematode (Radopholus similis), reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis) and lance nematode (Hoplolaimus columbus) consequently based on approximately base pair of 1.7, 1.1 and 0.52 kb (different Meloidogyne spp.) 0.52, 0.52, 0.25 and 2.3 kb of specific genes. From evolutionary analysis, it might be said that Meloidogyne species are strongly related with each other making clusters except Meloidogyne natalie where this one is closely related with Hoplolaimus columbus in their evolutionary relationship as remaining others (Rotylenchulus reniformis, Radopholus similis, Pratylenchus brachyurus) are in different clusters in the same clade and this result could be confirmed after sequencing.
