The purpose of this study is to assess the students' skills in creating virtual classrooms using the Google Classroom (GC) application through a 30 item questionnaire. In addition, the study used a Likert scale and an interview to explore students' perceptions towards GC. The sample consisted of 26 Master's students in the College of Education at Al Ain University in UAE. Data was generated from analyzing the questionnaire, and the Likert scale and the interview were used to answer the research questions. The results revealed that the degree of Master's students' skills in creating virtual classrooms was weak, and there are no statistically significant differences between students' skills based on gender and specialization. The results also showed that the perception of the GC was positive, and the majority of participants assured that GC is easy to create and use. They also expressed interest to learn more about GC through training. The findings from this study could be utilized by College of Education faculty members, students, administrators, and policymakers.
It is essential that special education teachers help and support regular education teachers so tat they can work effectively with special needs students in their classes. Students with disabilities need modified lesson plans and methods of teaching in order to succeed and since the majority of teachers in regular education are not trained to work with special needs students, it becomes important that they collaborate with special education to teachers to provide the needed support for those students. Hence, the current study aimed at identifying the level of practicing collaboration between special education teachers and regular education teachers in Abu Dhabi school district. The study sample consisted of 135 teachers; 75 regular education teachers and 60 special education teachers. A researcher designed questionnaire based on extensive review of literature was used and the final version of the questionnaire consisted of ten items. Analysis of data revealed that the level of collaboration between special education teachers and regular education teachers was medium; also no significant differences were found between teachers based on gender, however a significant difference was found between teachers based on the level of education being better for those with higher education.
This research work has aimed at investigating the level of political awareness among the Al Ain University students and the role of the university in boosting it by using the descriptive survey method. Indeed, this study has relied upon the questionnaire and the interview as research tools, as well as on the intentional sample where 10 teaching team members were interviewed to answer the third question, and on the random sample where the questionnaire was distributed among 980 students- males and females to answer the first and second questions. The findings of this study revealed that there was a considerably high level of political awareness among the university students. It was also found that there were differences in the level of political awareness among students depending on the faculty, which favoured the students belonging to faculties of humanities. The differences also favoured male students when the variable was gender and 4th year students when the variable was the year of study. In addition, the study showed that the university played 15 important roles in developing political awareness as was unanimously agreed by the members of the sample. These roles were identified by using recurrences and percentages ranging between 50 and 90%, while those with percentages lower than 50% were not taken into account. This purpose of this study is to identify students’ attitudes at Al Ain University towards their preferred professors when registering their courses based on the educational or human aspects. The researchers used the descriptive survey method, whereby the two researchers developed a questionnaire consisting of (27) items. The study sample consisted of 750 male and female participants. Findings of the study showed that participants had positive attitudes toward their professors in the educational aspect. This study also showed that the relationship between the educational aspect and the human aspect in students' attitudes was statistically significant and positive. In addition to having educational competencies and the ability to manage these competencies efficiently, students stressed the importance of adhering to the human aspect that provides knowledge in a human and professional manner at the same time. This indicates that students prefer to choose professors who possess effective competence, human education and the moral aspect that determines their attitudes and preferences when they register courses in each academic semester.
