This study aimed at finding out the status of utilizing social media networks in the teaching-learning process at public Jordanian Universities. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive developmental method was used and a questionnaire was developed, consisting of (35) statements. The questionnaire was checked for its validity and reliability. Then it was distributed to a sample of (382) male and female students from the undergraduate and graduate levels. The study results showed that the participants gave a low score to the status of utilizing social media networks in the teaching-learning process at public Jordanian universities. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the participants of the study according to the academic rank attributed to the graduate students, and according to gender attributed to male students at the instrument macro level and on all dimensions of the two variables. In light of these results, the study recommended that public universities should utilize modern technology in the educational process, urge and encourage the teaching staff members to use the social media networks in the teaching-learning process and raise the students' awareness about the benefits of using social media networks.
The study aimed to identify the reality of media leaders’ practice of electronic leadership from the point of view of faculty members in media faculties. It also correlated the relationship between the study sample’s opinions about the media leaders’ practice of electronic leadership according to the variable of gender and experience. To achieve the study objectives, the study followed the descriptive approach. A questionnaire was applied to the study sample. The results showed that the degree of reality of media leaders’ practice of electronic leadership from the point of view of faculty members in media faculties scored high. The results also revealed statistical differences between the study sample’s responses according to the gender variable. In addition, there were no statistical differences according to the variable of experience between the study sample’s responses. In light of the current results, the study recommended activating the role of electronic leadership in media institutions through holding training courses for leaders.
This study aimed at defining the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers.The study used a descriptive approach. A questionnaire was developed, consisting of 30 paragraphs, which evaluated the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schoolsin Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers. The validity and reliability of the study's tool have been verified. The sample of the study consisted of the schools' teachers of Zarqa Education Directorate II.They were 250 male and female teachers for the academic year 2016-2017 selected from among the schools of Zarqa Education Directorate II.The results of the study were as follows: -The role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers.In favor of females, there were statistically significance differences in the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools from the viewpoint of their teachers due to gender variable.In favor of females, there were statistically significant differences in promoting of the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers attributed to specialization variable.There were no statistically significant differences due to experience variable.The study recommended achieving the goal of education through the institutions of the Ministry of Education by educational media, and activating the role of educational media to develop the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools.
The study aimed to propose the role for Jordanian public universities contribute to enhancing the education of citizenship and its relationship to the development of autonomy among the students of education science faculties, and study population consisted of all undergraduate students in the colleges of Education in Jordanian public universities (of Jordan, Yarmouk, Mutah) and who are ( 6929) for the academic year 2011/2012, has been developing a tool to measure the degree of a student to the concepts of education of citizenship and its relationship to the development of autonomy among the students of education science faculties in Jordanian public universities and consisted of (55) items distributed in two parts, first is the raising of citizenship and is divided into five main (rights, duties, participation, respect for law, justice) and measured (40), paragraph, and the paragraphs of Part II is a measure of independence and self-measured (15) paragraph. The study sample for the purposes of the study (680) students were chosen randomly, with a sample of (154) students. The study found that there a role for universities in the Jordanian official in promoting the concepts of education of citizenship among the students of faculties of educational sciences at the center of the rights, duties, participation and respect for law and justice, and that the highest approval came on the field of justice with an average My Account (4.17) and field duties in second with an average arithmetic (4.06), while the area of respect for the law in the order in the third with an average arithmetic (4.01), The field of the order in the fourth with an average arithmetic (3.84), and came in last place the field of participation with an average arithmetic (3.72 ). That the arithmetic mean of the tool's total vertebrae role of the university in the development of autonomy was high average arithmetic (4.18), the study recommends the following: Action to adopt a comprehensive national strategy for Education national contribution in promoting understanding and awareness of students to the concepts and themes. هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى دور الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية في تعزيز تربية المواطنة وعلاقتها بتنمية الاستقلالية الذاتية لدى طلبة كليات العلوم التربوية من وجهة نظرهم، تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع طلبة مرحلة البكالوريوس في كليات العلوم التربوية في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية (الأردنية، اليرموك، مؤته) والبالغ عددهم (6929) للعام الدراسي 2011/2012، وقد تم تطوير أداة لتحقيق هدف الدراسة، وتكونت من (55) فقرة موزعة على جزأين، الأول يتعلق بتربية المواطنة وينقسم إلى خمسة محاور (الحقوق، الواجبات، المشاركة احترام القانون، العدالة) وتقيسها (40) فقرة، أما الجزء الثاني فهو فقرات تقيس الاستقلالية الذاتية ويقيسه (15) فقرة. تكونت العينة لغايات الدراسة من (680) طالباً وطالبة اختيروا بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية، إذ تكونت العينة من (154) طالباً و(526) طالبةً. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود دور للجامعات الأردنية الرسمية في تعزيز مفاهيم تربية المواطنة لدى طلبة كليات العلوم التربوية في محور الحقوق، والواجبات والمشاركة واحترام القانون والعدالة، وأن أعلى درجات الموافقة جاءت على مجال العدالة بمتوسط حسابي (4.17) ثم مجال الواجبات في الترتيب الثاني بمتوسط حسابي (4.06)، بينما جاء مجال احترام القانون بالترتيب الثالث بمتوسط حسابي (4.01)، وجاء مجال الحقوق بالترتيب الرابع بمتوسط حسابي (3.84)، وجاء في المرتبة الأخيرة مجال المشاركة بمتوسط حسابي (3.72). وأن المتوسط الحسابي للأداة الكلية لفقرات دور الجامعة في تنمية الاستقلالية الذاتية جاءت مرتفعة بمتوسط حسابي (4.18)، ووجود علاقة ايجابية بين تربية المواطنة وتنمية الاستقلالية الذاتية وبناءً على نتائج الدراسة، فإن الدراسة توصي بالآتي: العمل على تبني إستراتيجية وطنية شاملة للتربية الوطنية تساهم في تعزيز فهم وإدراك الطلبة للمفاهيم والمحاور، التي تساهم بشكل مباشر في تعزيز مفاهيم التربية الوطنية لدى الطلبة وتنمية الاستقلالية الذاتية لديهم.
