Abstract:Although the age of nanotechnology in the world is almost half a century, but now it has become to an influential technology in different areas of industry. In recent decade, Nanotechnology becomes a technology which has competitive advantage for the world, with rapid growth in different fields of knowledge production and planning for commercialization the research achievements. In the mean time, achieving competitive advantage through the development of new products in the field of nanotechnology requires awareness of all active and talent people in this field of the concept of technological corporate-entrepreneurship. In this article, effective factors on the process of technological corporate-entrepreneurship in active technology companies in the field of nanotechnology in Iran are being evaluated and identified and eventually offered a new conceptual model of corporate technopreneurship process in active knowledge-based technological firms in nanotechnology area. The qualitative data was collected through interviews. The methodology is adapted from in-depth interviews with 12 academic experts and managers of technological firms, policymakers active in Nanotechnology industry until theoretical saturation state achieved. The gathered data was analyzed using axial and open coding methods. The results show that the effective determinant of corporate technopreneurship process in active knowledge-based nano-technological firmsincludes of five main factors and 30 axial factors. The main factors are consisting of organizational, external, institutional and other new factors, i.e. technological and individual factors that are shown in new conceptual model of corporate technopreneurship process. The results of this paper can be used for the optimization of corporatenano-technopreneurship of active knowledge-based technological firms in all of world countries.
The thermal-economic optimization of a combined cycle power plant (CCPP) which can provide 140 MW of electrical power is discussed in this paper. The CCPP is composed of a gas turbine cycle (including, air compressor, combustion chamber, gas turbine), heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), steam turbine, condenser system, and a pump. The design parameters of such a plant are compressor pressure ratio (rAC), compressor isentropic efficiency (ηAC) gas turbine isentropic efficiency (ηGT), and turbine inlet temperature (T3), pinch difference temperature (ΔTpinch), steam turbine inlet temperature (Ta), steam turbine isentropic efficiency (ηST), and pump isentropic efficiency (ηPUMP). The objective function was the total cost of the plant in terms of dollar per second, including sum of the operating cost related to the fuel consumption, and the capital investment for equipment purchase and maintenance costs. The optimal values of decision variables were obtained by minimizing the objective function using sequential quadratic programming (SQP). The effects of change in the demanded power and fuel price on the design parameters werestudied for, 100, 120, and 140MW of net power output.
In times of intensive competition, reducing development cycles of new products, and more demanding customer expectations, organization are in increasing need of new approaches to service design and delivery. As a result, NSD has not only become an important competitive factor in many industries, but also has raised the interest of researchers in the fields of service innovation, and innovation management. Learning process has a critical role for optimizing NSD process in service organizations. Recent research suggests that organizational learning can contribute greatly to the success of new service development process. In this paper new conceptual model of learning process for New Service Development process in Iranian Banks has been introduced. The qualitative data was gathered through interviews. The methodology is adapted from in-depth interviews with academic experts and managers of banking system until theoretical saturation state achieved. The gathered data was analyzed using axial and open coding methods. The results show that the learning process of new service development in Iranian banking system involves seven axial factors consist of Individual, Technology, Organization, Institutions, external Environment, internal factors plus a new factor that is Training methods. By applying the above mentioned factors the banks can either facilitate learning NSD process among their employees, departments and whole organization to continue innovation and creativity in bank services, or can deliver customer oriented services to their customers. The research results are applicable for all banking systems in the world.
In this article, the gear ratio of RD (An Iranian made car by Iran Khodro Co.) vehicle gearbox with considering fuel economy and gearbox specifications is evaluated. In the first step, the gearbox advantages and its effects on the engine rotational velocity with considering road load and engine torque are investigated. It is distinguished that in a specified velocity of vehicle, engine speed in overdrive state is very lower than engine speed in fourth gear. It means that noise and fuel consumption and engine wearing and damages will be decreased. The optimized region of engine operation is identified. Using a geometric progression between automotive gear ratios and entering number of effective parameters such as specific fuel consumption, minimum mean effective velocity, and etc., overdrive gear ratio is computed. Finally the overdrive gear ratio is chosen 0.81 for vehicle.
