Intrinsic rates for the Fischer‐Tropsch synthesis reaction over a promoted iron catalyst fabricated at the Research Institute of the Petroleum Industry (RIPI) have been obtained in the temperature range of 290°C to 310°C, pressure range of 1500 to 2300 kPa, molar hydrogen to carbon monoxide ratio of 0.76 to 1.82, and a space velocity of 3300 h−1 under conditions of constant catalyst activity. To this end, the initial reaction rates have been measured at constant temperature (±1°C) in the absence of diffusion limitations, and power‐law equations have been fitted in terms of the hydrogen and carbon monoxide partial pressures for the reaction rates.
To characterize five different morphological forms of Russian olive grown in Ladakh, analysis of morphometric data of different variants was performed. Statistically significant differences among these variants were found for all the fruit and seed characters studied. Results of the study indicate presence of infra-specific differentiation within the species. Morphometric data for these variants conform to the system of nomenclature prevalent in the region for these variants. The ringmo (‘long fruited’ variety) type had the longest fruits, while bee (‘small fruited’ variety) had the smallest fruits.
Numerical and experimental study of sheet metal hydroforming AIP Conf.An integrated approach to the design of tube hydroforming processes: artificial intelligence, numerical analysis and experimental investigation AIP Conf.Laser forming is a new technology in sheet metal forming process, which has different applications for the industries that have previously used large tools for this purpose. Important parameters for achieving the desirable shape in laser forming process are scan speed, laser power, and scan pattern type. In this paper, finite element method simulation was done to study effect of different scan path to obtain shape of cap from a circular plate. Then, results of different scan paths were compared with each other at same condition. Comparing radius, curvatures, and edge distortion for different scan paths showed that spiral paths produced better caps than circular ones owing to their continuity. The experiments were performed using parameters of full Fermat's scan path that obtained appropriate from simulations. Comparison between simulation and experimental results has shown good agreement. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
