The use of technology that continues to develop has given birth to new breakthroughs in the world of health, one of which is the method of controlling fluids for people with chronic kidney failure. A phenomenon that is often found in chronic kidney failure patients is the lack of self-management in controlling fluid. In this study, researchers took advantage of technological developments to help improve patients fluid self-management in controlling fluids, with an android application media named SMCKD. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design. Respondents were 70 people who were divided into 2 groups. The results of the McNemar statistical test before and after the intervention of the SMCKD application in the experimental group obtained p value = 0.000, which means that there is an effect of the application of SMCKD on patients self-management of fluids. While the results of the Chi-Square test after the intervention of the SMCKD application in the experimental and control groups obtained p value = 0.000, which means that there is a difference in the level of self-management fluid between the experimental group and the control group after the intervention of the SMCKD application.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
