The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the quality of disclosure of good corporate governance (GCG), leverage, and firm size on profitability in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia and Malaysia. The data used in this study were obtained from the website of each bank in the period 2011-2017 with a total sample of 16 Islamic commercial banks. The data analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that the quality of GCG disclosure and leverage had an effect on profitability while the firm size variable had an effect on profitability.
This study aims to determine the impact of environmental performance proxied by eco-efficiency on the financial performance of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. İn this study, the multiple linear regression test was used to analyse the data. The sample of this study is manufacturing companies that listed at the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 until 2016 with the total observation is 80 firm-years.The results of this study indicated that the average level of eco-efficiency of the manufacturing companies is still relatively low (0.38). The environmental performance as measured by the eco-efficiency has a positive significant effect on the financial performance of the companies. This study aims to analyze and apply the effect of the current ratio (CR), total asset turnover (TATO), debt to asset ratio (DAR), and debt to equity ratio (DER) on return on assets (ROA). The population in this study is plantation companies with 21 companies and a sample of 21 companies. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample/census; that is, all the population is sampled. The data collection technique uses documentation from financial reports published on the IDX's official website, namely www.IDX.co.id. The analysis used is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Current Ratio does not affect ROA, TATO has a positive and significant effect on ROA, DAR has a negative and significant effect on ROA, DER has a positive and significant effect on ROA.
The focus of the bank to increase profit. However, the increase in profit is not important to focus on because the sustainability of growth is more important. Measure the level of sustainable growth is an important factor that needs attention as a reflection for the performance of a bank. The measurement uses the concept of growth called the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR). This study aims to provide empirical evidence on the effect of liquidity proxy Loan to Funding Ratio (LFR), asset quality proxy by Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and efficiency proxy by Operating Cost to Operating Income (BOPO) toward SGR. The sampling technique is purposive based on the criteria so that the selected 22 banks with the study period 2012-2107. Unit analysis as much as 132 observations. The analysis of data using panel data regression. The findings of the study showed that LFR, NPL, and BOPO had a significant negative effect on SGR. The implications of research that SGR becomes important as it relates to the bank's strategy to continue to grow and continue in order to expand its business maximally while maintaining internal and external funding sources.
This study aims to determine the effect of financial ratios on stock prices in telecommunications sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2017-2021 period. The population in this study were all telecommunications sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017 to 2021. Using a purposive sampling technique, the research sample consisted of 10 telecommunications sector companies. Data analysis used the panel data regression method, where the selected model was the fixed effect. The results showed that the Current Ratio (CR), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), and Earning Per Share (EPS) had a positive and significant effect on stock prices. In contrast, the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) was negative and significant to stock prices.
This study aims to find the similarities and differences in financing practices that occurred in The Agricultural Bank of Iran, China, Sudan, Malaysia and Baitul Maal wat Tamwil in Indonesia, and to obtain best farmers and agricultural enterpreneurs financing practices. This study used qualitative approach. Case study is selected as strategy in this research. The method of data collecting is documentation. Data is obtained from websites and annual reports of each agricultural bank. The data collected is the bank's policy data on financing distributed to farmers and agricultural enterpreneurs. Agricultural Bank of China uses interest based product. This bank offer flexible loan and flexible time of payment. Agricultural bank in Iran and Sudan offer partnership and constant profit financing products to farmers. Malaysia and BMT Sidogiri in Indonesia offer constant profit contract. But their financing contract, tawarruq and Bay al Wafa are still controversial contracts. Observed agricultural banks have been using sharia priciples, except for Agricultural Bank of China. The financing product that has been used since the time of the Prophet has been applied by the agricultural banks. However, there are still controversial financing used by these banks.
The study aims to determine the Effect of growth opportunity, corporate tax, and profitability on the value of firm through the capital structure as an intervening variable at manufacturing companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample consists of 32 manufacturing sector companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange within 2013–2017. The study results show that growth opportunity and corporate tax have a positive effect on the structure of capital, in contrast to profitability, which affects negatively. Meanwhile, capital structure and profitability have a positive Effect on firm value. On the other hand, growth opportunity and corporate tax have no bearing on company value. Yet, capital structure does not mediate between growth opportunity and corporate tax to the value of firm. Nevertheless capital structure mediates the Effect of profitability on the value of firm.
