J-DSP+ is a java-based object-oriented programming environment that was developed at Arizona State University for use in the undergraduate DSP class [1].In this paper, we describe innovative software extensions on J-DSP to accommodate on-line laboratories for speech processing, image processing, and communications systems. Significant modifications in the object-oriented GUI of J-DSP that enable simulation of feedback systems are also presented. The speech processing functions enable on-line simulations of speech coding algorithms and include PCM and ADPCM quantization as well as more elaborate algorithms such as the LPC and the CELP. Image processing functionalities include development of 2-D signal processing capabilities including 2-D-FFT, 2-D-filter design, and 2-D graphics and picture processing. Communications functionality covers several aspects of analog and digital modulation and demodulation. On-line laboratory exercises have been developed in the aforementioned areas and posted on a web site (http://jdsp.asu.edu). This site also includes on-line evaluation forms for the exercises. Statistical and qualitative evaluations that assess the learning experiences of the students that use J-DSP are presented.
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that is a major health problem for women. When the right breast has been infected by Breast cancer then the contralateral (left breast) should be examined to determine whether that particular area has also been affected by Breast cancer. To solve this problem, scientists have developed a computer Audit for early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Conversion of images to numerical models has
The aims of this study was to find out the difference in Natural Science learning outcomes of students of elementary school class five taught by Thematic Model and Conventional Model, the interaction effect between Instructional Model and Interpersonal Intelligence on Natural Science learning outcomes, the difference in Natural Science learning outcomes of students with high and low interpersonal intelligence taught by instructional model with thematic model and conventional model. Design of research is an experimental method with the two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the tukey analysis. The results showed 1) There was a significant difference where the Natural Science learning outcomes of grade V students who were taught thematic model were higher than students who were taught using conventional model. 2) There is an influence of learning model instruction with interpersonal intelligence on Natural Science learning outcomes of class V students. 3) Natural Science learning outcomes of class V students who have high interpersonal intelegence who are taught thematic model is higher than Natural Science learning outcomes of conventional model class’s V students taught conventional model. 4) Natural Science learning outcomes of class V students who have low interpersonal intelligence by being taught thematic model is lower compared to being taught using model conventional.
This article discusses the correlation between creativity and selves study withresult of study on social the objectives of this research are : 1) Finding out the correlationbetween students’ creativity and study result on English subject. 2) Finding out thecorrelation between students’selves-study and study result on English subject. 3) Findingoutthecorrelationbetweenthestudents’studycreativityandselves-study all together withthe study result on English subject. The problems of this research are : 1) is there positivecorrelationbetweenstudents’creativityandstudyresultonEnglishsubject.2)is there apositivecorrelationbetweenstudent’sselves-study and study result on English subject. 3) isthere a positive correlation between the students’ study creativity and selves-study alltogether with the study result on English subject. The research method applied in thisresearch is survey research method, the target of population is the whole of the eighth gradestudents’of junior high school at SMP Negeri di Kota Bekasi, and the achievable populationis 122 students. The sample is taken using the Slovin formula. Based on the data analysis, there is a positive correlation between students’ creativity and study result on Englishsubject with correlation coefficient of product moment 0,46. There is positivecorrelation between students’ selves-study and study result on English subject withcorrelation coefficient of product moment 0,137. There is positive correlation betweenthestudents’studycreativity and selves-study all together with the study result on Englishsubject with the double correlation coefficient . 0,149. The conclusion of this researchis that the high result of study on English subject will be gained if the students have highcreativityonthestudysupportedbythestudents’selves-study. The is expected to grow thestudents’creativityandisexpectedtobeabletousethevariouskindsoflearningmethodswhich are oriented to the students
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
