Cultural intelligence is an individual’s ability to recognize, understand, and adapt to cross-cultural contexts in order to change his or her self-capacity. Hence, this study explores the relationship between cultural intelligence and interpersonal communication, psychological capital (PsyCap), and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among teachers in Indonesia and investigates the possibility of finding relevant new models. A Likert questionnaire was used to collect research data. The research participants included 450 Indonesian junior high school teachers selected by accidental sampling. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used for data analysis, supported by descriptive statistics and correlational matrices. The results indicate that cultural intelligence is significantly related to teachers’ interpersonal communication, PsyCap, and OCB. Additionally, this study also produces a new model regarding the relationship between cultural intelligence and a teacher’s OCB, mediated by interpersonal communication and PsyCap. Therefore, researchers and practitioners can discuss and adopt a new empirical model to increase cultural intelligence.
Rice is one of the crops which are the main staple food in Indonesia. For Indonesian, rice that processed into being cooked rice is compulsory food. This rice is one of the crops which are most susceptible to pests. This study aims to design and implement a decision support system for the selection of pesticidesrice for pests used the Case Based Reasoning (CBR) method. The text editor used in building this system is sublime text, while the programming language uses PHP, Java Script, and MYSQL for database processing. This method is very appropriate for building information based on cases and solutions in the past forgetting back solutions to new cases. The results of this study are a web-based system that provides information on pests which attacked rice and the support system for deciding the selection of pesticides on rice pests using the CBR method. This system will help for choosing pesticides.
This study explored the effect of compensation on teachers’ turnover intention mediated by organizational commitment. The research data was collected by a questionnaire through the survey methods toward 207 honorary teachers of a private school in Indonesia. Data analysis employed path analysis, supported by descriptive statistics and a correlational matrix. The result indicated that compensation significantly affects teachers’ turnover intention meditating by organizational commitment. This study also found a fit research model that can discuss among researchers and practitioners as references/discourse or a strategy for mitigating turnover intention in various contexts and research fields.
This study investigates the effect of adversity quotient (AQ) on performance mediated by psychology capital (PsyCap). A questionnaire collected research data. The questionnaire for all research variables is reliable with an alpha coefficient > .7. The research participant is 450 junior high school teachers in Indonesia select by accidental sampling. Data analysis uses path analysis supported by descriptive statistics and correlational matrics. The research result reveals that AQ and PsyCap significantly affect performance. AQ is also significantly influenced PsyCap. Besides, PsyCap was significantly indirectly mediating the effect of AQ on performance. Thus, the empirical model of AQ on performance mediated by PsyCap was confirmed. This model can discuss among researchers and educational practitioners to build models of performance that can adapt and adopt as new approaches or strategies to developing performance. Therefore, the research suggested that the performance can improve through AQ and PsyCap.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
