O presente trabalho investigou a relação que se estabelece entre o somático, o emocional e o social no processo de somatização, no contexto da saúde pública, mediante uma pesquisa bibliográfica, utilizando como referencial teórico básico os atuais estudos da Psicossomática. Em pauta: o conceito de somatização e suas controvérsias; os padrões explicativos; os mecanismos de formação de sintomas somáticos e os fatores de risco da somatização, com ênfase naqueles relacionados ao sistema de saúde. A somatização pressupõe uma relação recíproca e concomitante, de caráter multicausal, multidimensional e integral entre os aspectos biopsicossociais, sendo o conflito, a tensão e os padrões explicativos do paciente, fatores fundamentais nesse contexto. Admitindo como objeto de atenção somente os aspectos orgânicos, profissionais de saúde favorecem à cronicidade desse problema, comprometendo a vida funcional do paciente. Este trabalho sistematiza pressupostos, acrescenta novas reflexões e sinaliza à construção de práticas mais adequadas no cuidado aos pacientes somatizadores no contexto da saúde pública.
A partir da Lei n° 8080/90 a formação em saúde passa a ser ordenada pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), requerendo olhar criítico e inovador voltado aos problemas e demandas sociais e para metodologias que promovam competências profissionais adequadas ao contexto do SUS integrando ensino-serviço-comunidade. Tais competências gerais são apresentadas pelas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para os cursos de saúde: atenção à saúde; tomada de decisões; comunicação; liderança; administração e gerenciamento; educação permanente. Por outro lado, a Política Nacional de Educação Popular em Saúde (Portaria nº 2.761, de 19/12/2013) que tem como princípios diálogo, amorosidade, problematização, construção compartilhada do conhecimento, emancipação, compromisso com a construção do projeto democrático e popular, apresenta a formação em saúde prioritariamente enquanto eixo estratégico. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi relacionar os princípios da educação popular em saúde com as competências gerais da formação profissional em saúde, desenvolvidas em um projeto de extensão universitário. Isso foi realizado no Projeto de Extensão “Encontros e Encantos: Educação Popular em Saúde com Povos de Terreiros de Matiz Africana em Juazeiro do Norte-CE”, e tais relações foram produzidas a partir de análise de Diários de Campos das atividades desenvolvidas e análise de roda de conversa com estudantes participantes. Os resultados remeteram à ressignificação das competências para: ética, cuidado, diálogo, processos democráticos de autogestão e educação permanente. Palavras-chave: Educação Popular em Saúde. Este trabalho tem como objetivo a compreensão das possíveis relações existentes entre as competências apontadas pelas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais de Psicologia com as Referências Técnicas publicadas pelo Centro de Referência Técnica em Psicologia e Políticas Públicas (CREPOP). Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, tendo como metodologia a análise do discurso. Após a leitura flutuante das referências técnicas produzidas pelo CREPOP entre janeiro de 2007 a setembro de 2019, foram selecionados quatro documentos para a pesquisa. Estes foram lidos na íntegra, realizando-se um fichamento e a construção de mapas dialógicos dos capítulos relacionados às práticas profissionais. Observou-se a existência de uma maior relação com as competências de atenção à saúde e educação permanente. As demais competências liderança, tomada de decisão e administração e gerenciamento sendo ampliadas para formas de atuação compartilhadas. Além disso, foi possível observar discursos que faziam menção a outras competências que acabavam ampliando a atuação da psicologia, mas que não são apontadas pelas diretrizes curriculares, como o trabalho com clínica ampliada, diálogo, trabalho colaborativo e ética dialógica.
