This article discusses the impact of ICT training on the sense of professional competence among high school teachers in Niger. The study is particularly decisive in the Nigerian context, where ICT are perceived as factors that can improve the quality of teaching in high schools. However is appears that the teachers’ low techno-pedagogical skills prevent them from incorporating ICT in their teaching. To do our study, we used a questionnaire to survey 69 people representing all three high schools in Niamey. In terms of the teachers’ sense personal competence, the results differ significantly between teachers trained in ICT and those who are not. However, the average general sense of competence was very similar in both groups.
