Creative thinking is one of the abilities students need to have because, with this ability, students can encounter every problem. However, not every student has this ability. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using realistic mathematics learning approaches to improve students’ creative thinking abilities. This research is quasi-experimental. This research was conducted in one of the junior high school in class VII. Researchers conducted two tests on students, namely pretest and posttest. Each time after teaching the teacher together, the researchers evaluate learning to improve students’ abilities. The average result of the ability to think creatively at the pretest is 17.61. The average result of the ability to think creatively at the posttest is 30.09. Using the N-Gain test shows that realistic mathematics learning approaches are practical enough to increase students’ creative thinking abilities.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-concept and mathematics anxiety on the ability to think critically pre-service teachers of mathematics at the time of a pandemic Covid-19 in Indramayu, Indonesia with used digital platforms LMS-Google Classroom. This type of quantitative research uses one group pre-test post-test design. By using the purposive sampling technique, the research sample taken is the fourth-semester students who take the Abstract Algebra of Theory Ring course as many as 19 people. Research instrument in the form of critical thinking skills tests, self-concept questionnaires, and mathematics anxiety. Data analysis using ANOVA test. Based on the results, there is a direct influence self-concept and mathematics anxiety on the ability to think critically pre-service teachers of mathematics at the time of a pandemic Covid-19 in Indramayu, Indonesia by using a digital platform LMS-Google Classroom. There are other findings obtained, namely: the readiness of the lecturer in preparing the learning process must be very correct and can add applications that can face virtual eyes with students, such as the use of Zoom Meeting; the readiness of pre-service teacher in following the lecture process in the form of stable internet use because 90% of pre-service teacher come from the border area of Indramayu district and surrounding districts.
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan strategi pembelajaran sisipan humor; untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa yang pembelajarannya tidak menggunakan strategi pembelajaran sisipan humor, untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran sisipan humor terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Balongan dan dipilih dua kelas secara acak sebagai sampel. Kelas XI TKJ 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang pembelajarannya menggunakan strategi pembelajaran sisipan humor dan kelas XI TKJ 2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang pembelajarannya tidak menggunakan sisipan humor. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi pembelajaran sisipan humor terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Kata kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran, Sisipan Humor, Hasil Belajar Matematika ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research are to know the math achievement of students who use the insertion of humor learning's strategy; to know the math achievement of students who not use the insertion of humor learning's strategy, to know the effect of the insertion of humor to math achievement. This research used the experiment method. The population of this research is whole students grade is XI at SMK Negeri 1 Balongan and taken two classes at random according to the class as a sample. Class XI TKJ 1 as the experiment class that use the insertion of humor learning's strategy and class XI TKJ 2 as the control class that not use the insertion of humor learning's strategy. Instrumens that used in this research is test. Based on the analysis result, it could be concluded that any effect the insertion of humor learning's strategy to math achievement.
Advances in technology and learning carried out online due to the Covid-19 pandemic are the background for this research. Research objectives to determine the effectiveness of online learning using MATH-UNWIR in improving mathematical connection ability and online learning amid the pandemic Covid-19. This study uses quantitative research with a quasi-type experimental design, as well as a research design using pretest and posttest experimental classes. There are 15 students as research sample. The instruments used was connection skill test and questionare. The data obtained anylized with quantitative method. The average yield pretest was 56,33 and the posttest mean was 81,67. The results of the pretest posttest paired sample t-test showed that there was an average difference significant between pretest and posttest results, so that it brought to an effect of online learning using MATH-UNWIR on students' mathematical connections. The result of the N-Gain score was 0.57. That means it is in the medium category and shows a percentage of 57%.
