<p>Objetivo: Conhecer as experiências da maternidade e paternidade vivenciadas por adolescentes e a participação dos mesmos nos cuidados aos filhos. Método: Estudo descritivo, de natureza qualitativa realizado com 10 pais que vivenciaram a maternidade/paternidade na adolescência. Os dados foram coletados nos meses de novembro e dezembro de 2015, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas que foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo. Resultados: A gestação desencadeou conflitos, sentimento de felicidade, mudanças positivas e negativas na rotina diária dos adolescentes e de suas famílias. Os participantes destacaram não terem enfrentado dificuldades na realização dos cuidados com o recém-nascido, em razão do apoio fornecido pelos familiares e profissionais da saúde. Conclusão: A vivência da gestação não foi percebida como condição desfavorável ao casal adolescente; entretanto, o acompanhamento profissional e apoio dos pais é importante para a saúde da criança e desenvolvimento da nova família como um todo. </p><p><strong>Descritores:</strong> Adolescente. Estudo descritivo de natureza qualitativa, que teve com objetivo compreender a experiência da família na convivência e cuidado ao familiar hipertenso com dependência decorrente do Acidente Vascular Encefálico (AVE). Utilizou-se para tanto, a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados, junto a sete famílias que convivem com esta dependência, residentes em Maringá-PR. Os dados foram coletados entre março e julho de 2007, por meio de entrevistas abertas e observações não sistematizadas realizadas na residência do familiar. Emergiram as categorias: Convivendo com as sequelas do AVE: "sinto saudade de conversar com ela"; Enfrentando a reabilitação: "Então tem que lutar!" e Mudanças no cuidado à hipertensão após AVE: "Mudou principalmente a comida...". O estudo desta temática contribui de forma significativa para o entendimento da família que convive com a hipertensão e a dependência em seu familiar, favorecendo a reflexão e a partir daí, possíveis mudanças nas atitudes profissionais relativas à assistência a este agravo. AbstractA descriptive qualitative research that aimed to understand the experience of the family living with care-dependent patient with stroke caused by hypertension. The Grounded Theory was used to study seven families living in Maringá-PR. Data were collected between March and July 2007 through open interviews and unsystematic observations conducted at the residence of the family. The following categories emerged: Living with the consequences of stroke: "I miss talking to her"; Facing rehabilitation: "So you have to fight!" and changes in care for hypertension after stroke: "He changed the food ... mostly." The study of this issue contributes significantly to the understanding of family members living with hypertension and dependence on their families, encouraging reflection and from there to proportionate possible changes in professional attitudes concerning assistance to this condition.
