Existem evidências que superfícies e objetos agem como reservatórios, facilitando, assim, infecções cruzadas. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o perfil bacteriano em superfícies e equipamentos da UTI de um Hospital Universitário no sertão do Vale do São Francisco. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e descritivo. O trabalho foi realizado na UTI, onde foram amostrados as seguintes superfícies e equipamentos: ventilador mecânico; botões de comando do monitor cardíaco; diafragma do estetoscópio; mesa de cabeceira; dispensador de soro/alimento; cortinas ao redor do leito; parede ao redor do leito e bomba de infusão contínua. As amostras foram coletadas, utilizando-se swabs embebidos em solução salina. Após a passagem, eles foram armazenados em tubo e transportados para o Laboratório onde foram realizadas as análises microbiológicas. O total de bactérias encontradas, independente dos leitos, equipamentos e superfícies amostradas foi de 134, destas, 20 (15%) são consideradas possíveis bactérias causadoras de infecções hospitalares. No que se refere ao perfil de resistência das bactérias aos principais antibióticos, os Staphylococcus aureus, foram 100% resistentes à oxacilina e os isolados de Enterococcus sp. apresentaram 20% de resistência intermediária à vancomicina e 20% de resistência à ampicilina. Foi observado que todos os isolados de Klebsiella pneumoniae foram resistentes à ampicilina + sulbactam e 100% sensíveis ao restante dos antibióticos testados. Para Acinetobacter baumannii foi observado 43% de resistência intermediária à ceftriaxona e 57% de resistência ao meropenem. O presente estudo mostra que nas superfícies e equipamentos da UTI estão presentes bactérias multirresistentes que podem causar infecções hospitalares.
Descrever a etiologia e a resistência dos isolados bacterianos das hemoculturas de pacientes internados na Sala de Cuidados Intermediários do Hospital Universitário do Vale do São Francisco, Petrolina/PE. Foram analisadas, retrospectivamente, todas as hemoculturas, realizadas pelo Laboratório de Análises Clínicas do Hospital Universitário, entre janeiro a dezembro de 2020 de pacientes internados na Sala de Cuidados Intermediários através da análise descritiva e quantitativa. Os dados foram tabulados em planilhas do Excel® e foi realizada análise dos valores absolutos e percentuais. As identificações das bactérias e os antibiogramas foram realizadas através do sistema automatizado BD Phoenix ™, de acordo com a metodologia do Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute de 2020. Foram coletadas 113 hemoculturas, sendo 29 positivas (26%) para crescimento bacteriano. As bactérias mais prevalentes foram Staphylococcus coagulase negativa (45%), Escherichia coli (17%) e Staphylococcus aureus (10%). As bactérias Staphylococcus spp apresentaram resistência à ampicilina e penicilina, enquanto as Klebsiella pneumoniae e Acinetobacter baumannii demonstraram importante resistência aos carbapenêmicos e às cefalosporinas. Houve o predomínio das bactérias gram-positivas e 55% das bactérias foram Staphylococcus spp, sendo que todas essas apresentaram resistência a ampicilina e penicilina. Além disso, observou-se resistência por parte do K. pneumoniae e A. baumannii aos carbapenêmicos e às cefalosporinas. Através do estudo do perfil microbiológico das bactérias relacionadas às infecções hospitalares é possível construir protocolos de antibioticoterapia empírica adequados, assim como a elaboração e implementação de medidas preventivas e de controle dessas infecções.
As superfícies em um ambiente hospitalar contribuem para a contaminação cruzada secundária. Tal contaminação acontece através do contato das mãos dos profissionais com a manipulação dos dispositivos ou equipamentos e as suas superfícies, que poderão estar contaminadas e acabar contaminando os pacientes. É importante ressaltar que o comportamento dos profissionais de saúde tem grande influência de maneira direta no que tange a transmissão de infecção hospitalar. O presente estudo objetivou analisar o perfil bacteriano de superfícies e equipamentos do Bloco Cirúrgico de um Hospital Universitário. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e descritivo onde foram amostradas 06 salas do Bloco Cirúrgico e analisadas as seguintes superfícies e equipamentos: braçadeira, mesa cirúrgica, monitor multiparamétrico, oxímetro, foco de luz e carrinho do anestesista. As amostras foram coletadas, utilizando-se um molde de área de 1 cm2 e swabs embebidos em solução salina. O total de bactérias encontradas foi de 125, destas 5 são consideradas bactérias possíveis causadoras de infecções hospitalares, a saber: Acinetobacter baumannii (3 isolados) e Enterobacter sp. (2 isolados). Com relação a resistência, o Acinetobacter baumannii foi 100% resistente aos carbapenêmicos, cefalosporinas e quinolonas. Já os isolados de Enterobacter sp. foram 100% resistente a ampicilina e 100% sensível a sulfametoxazol + trimetropima, cefepima, meropenem, ciprofloxacino, amicacina, ceftriaxona, ampicilina + sulbactam, tetraciclina, cloranfenicol, piperacilina + tazobactam e aztreonam. As superfícies dos equipamentos do Bloco Cirúrgico apresentaram possíveis bactérias causadoras de infecções hospitalares demonstrando elevada resistência aos antibióticos.
As Infecções Relacionadas à Assistência em Saúde são multifatoriais e ocorrem devido a fatores que poderiam ser evitados como, a lavagem inadequada das mãos e o manuseio de materiais. O objetivo deste trabalho foi conhecer o perfil bacteriológico das mãos e telefones celulares da equipe multiprofissional e dos profissionais que frequentam a Unidade de Terapia Intensiva do HU-UNIVASF. Foram analisadas as mãos e aparelhos celulares da equipe multidisciplinar da UTI. A pesquisa foi separada em 3 grupos: grupo 1: mão dominante e/ou aparelho celular de profissionais que compõem a equipe multiprofissional que chegam ao setor para o plantão; grupo 2: mão dominante e/ou aparelho celular de profissionais que compõem a equipe multiprofissional que deixam o setor ao final do plantão e o grupo 3: mão dominante e/ou aparelho celular de profissionais que entram na UTI para realizar alguma atividade. Após a passagem do swab, nas mãos e nos aparelhos celulares, as amostras foram transportadas para o Laboratório onde foi realizada a análise microbiológica. Pode-se observar, nas mãos e nos aparelhos celulares, a incidência das principais bactérias causadoras de infecções hospitalares, são elas: Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus spp. e Staphylococcus aureus. Em relação ao perfil bacteriológico, observa-se que as bactérias isoladas apresentam diferentes perfis de resistência, entre eles, a presença de bactérias multirresistentes. Os profissionais que atuam na UTI do HU-UNIVASF e aqueles que entram para realizar atividades possuem em suas mãos e aparelhos celulares bactérias multirresistentes causadoras de infecções hospitalares que poderão causar infecções cruzadas.
Avaliar o perfil bacteriano das amostras de aspirados traqueais e uroculturas de pacientes internados na Sala de Cuidados Intermediários do Hospital Universitário do Vale do São Francisco, Petrolina/PE. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, quantitativo e retrospectivo envolvendo a análise do perfil microbiológico das amostras coletadas no período de janeiro a dezembro de 2020 pelo Laboratório de Análises Clínicas do Hospital Universitário. Os dados foram tabulados em planilhas do Excel®, sendo feito a análise descritiva com valores percentuais e absolutos. As identificações bacterianas e os antibiogramas foram realizados através do sistema automatizado BD Phoenix ™, seguindo a metodologia do Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute. Foram coletados 120 aspirados traqueais, sendo 55 positivos (46%) para achados bacterianos; os patógenos mais prevalentes foram: Acinetobacter baumannii (40%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (16%) e Pseudomonas aeruginosa (11%). Em relação às uroculturas, foram realizadas 183, sendo 10 (5,46%) positivas para achados bacterianos; as bactérias mais prevalentes foram: Escherichia coli (40%) e Enterobacter cloacae (20%). A. baumannii apresentou 100% de sensibilidade à colistina e polimixina B nos aspirados traqueias, assim como a K. pneumoniae apresentou à amicacina em todas as amostras coletadas. A E. coli demonstrou certa restência às cefalospororinas, com exceção da cefoxitina, sendo sensível; além disso, teve sensibilidade parcial ao sulfametoxazol+trimetoprima no estudo. O conhecimento do perfil microbiológico das bactérias permite a elaboração de protocolos preventivos e a realização de tratamento efetivos, diminuindo as taxas de mortalidade, o tempo de internação e os custos em saúde.
