ResumenObjetivos: Cambios en el diseño tridimensional plantar del calcetín podrían tener un efecto en las presiones plantares, por lo que el objetivo de este trabajo fue valorar las presiones plantares dinámicas tras una carrera de 10 km en dos modelos de calcetines con diferente configuración de ondas plantares.Pacientes y métodos: En una muestra de 20 sujetos (14 hombres y 6 mujeres) se analizó el patrón de presiones plantares previas con la plataforma Footscan® (RsScan int), llevando de forma aleatoria un calcetín en cada pie (AWC 1 o AWC 2.1). Tras una carrera de 10 km se hizo la exploración baropodométrica posterior y contestaron a una encuesta de comodidad y características fisiológicas de los calcetines, mediante una pregunta tipo Likert de 1 a 5.Resultados: En el calcetín AWC 1 se vio un aumento estadísticamente significativo de la presión plantar en la 1.ª (de 13.1 ± 4.5 N/ cm 2 a 15.5 ± 5.4 N/cm 2 , p = 0.003) y 2.ª cabeza metatarsal (de 9.8 ± 3.6 N/cm 2 a 15.1 ± 5.6, p = 0.005) tras la carrera. Sin embargo, en el calcetín AWC 2.1 los valores tras la carrera mostraron valores similares a la pre-carrera. Comparando ambos pies, existió mayor presión bajo la 1.ª, 2ª. y 3.ª cabezas metatarsales de los pies que llevaron el AWC 1 (p = 0.047; p = 0.038; p = 0.044, respectivamente).Conclusiones: El calcetín AWC 2.1 mantiene estables las presiones plantares en la zona del antepié tras la carrera, lo que podría ser beneficioso para evitar la aparición de lesiones o malestar en la zona.
