The mirine plant bug genus Phytocoris Fallén, 1814 in Korea is reviewed. Eight species are recognized, including the first record of P. minakatai Yasunaga & Schwartz, 2015 from Korea and a new species herein described, P. goryeonus sp. nov. Each species is diagnosed, with habitus photographic images. Also, the little-known east Asian P. intricatus Flor and P. shabliovskii Kerzhner are redescribed. A key is provided to facilitate identifications of the Korean Phytocoris species.
The mirine plant bug genus Paramiridius, previously known only from a single Taiwanese species, is reported from Indochinese Laos for the first time and redefined. Two additional species, Paramiridius
indochinensis and Paramiridius
laomontanus, are described as new to science. The female genitalic structures of the genus are documented for the first time. Habitus illustrations, figures of male genitalia, and key are provided for all three known Paramiridius species.
Prior to this study, a total of 98 species of Mirinae (including 87 spp. of Mirini) were recorded from the Korean peninsula (Lee et al., 2013). Ongoing studies by Korean researchers have increased the total number of Korean spe
