The generalized ordered weighted averaging (GOWA) operators are a new class of operators, which were introduced by Yager (Fuzzy Optim Decision Making 2004;3:93-107). However, it seems that there is no investigation on these aggregation operators to deal with intuitionistic fuzzy or interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy information. In this paper, we first develop some new generalized aggregation operators, such as generalized intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging operator, generalized intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging operator, generalized intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid averaging operator, generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging operator, generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging operator, generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid average operator, which extend the GOWA operators to accommodate the environment in which the given arguments are both intuitionistic fuzzy sets that are characterized by a membership function and a nonmembership function, and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets, whose fundamental characteristic is that the values of its membership function and nonmembership function are intervals rather than exact numbers, and study their properties. We study the weapon-target assignment WTA problem which has wide applications in the area of defense-related operations research. This problem calls for finding a proper assignment of weapons to targets such that the total expected damaged value of the targets to be maximized. The WTA problem can be formulated as a nonlinear integer programming problem which is known to be NP-complete. There does not exist any exact method for the WTA problem even small size problems, although several heuristic methods have been proposed. In this paper, Lagrange relaxation method is proposed for the WTA problem. The method is an iterative approach which is to decompose the Lagrange relaxation into two subproblems, and each subproblem can be easy to solve to optimality based on its specific features. Then, we use the optimal solutions of the two subproblems to update Lagrange multipliers and solve the Lagrange relaxation problem iteratively. Our computational efforts signify that the proposed method is very effective and can find high quality solutions for the WTA problem in reasonable amount of time.

The dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs) were proposed by Zhu et al. (2012), which encompass fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy sets, and fuzzy multisets as special cases. Correlation measures analysis is an important research topic. In this paper, we define the correlation measures for dual hesitant fuzzy information and then discuss their properties in detail. One numerical example is provided to illustrate these correlation measures. Then we present a direct transfer algorithm with respect to the problem of complex operation of matrix synthesis when reconstructing an equivalent correlation matrix for clustering DHFSs. Furthermore, we prove that the direct transfer algorithm is equivalent to transfer closure algorithm, but its asymptotic time complexity and space complexity are superior to the latter. Another real world example, that is, diamond evaluation and classification, is employed to show the effectiveness of the association coefficient and the algorithm for clustering DHFSs.

The Dual Hesitant Fuzzy Sets (DHFSs) is a useful tool to deal with vagueness and ambiguity in the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems. The distance and similarity measures analysis are important research topics. In this paper, we propose a variety of distance measures for dual hesitant fuzzy sets, based on which the corresponding similarity measures can be obtained. We investigate the connections of the aforementioned distance measures and further develop a number of dual hesitant ordered weighted distance measures. Finally, we present a TOPSIS approach based on proposed distance measures for the weapon selection problem.
