Ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuma iç motivasyonları, başarıları, okuma tutum ve alışkanlıklarının arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçla nicel araştırma yöntemi çeşitlerinden biri olan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak çalışma desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 1137 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma ortaokul öğrencilerin okuma iç motivasyonu, okumaya yönelik tutum ve alışkanlıkları ve başarıları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, çalışmada Okuma İç Motivasyonu Ölçeği ve Okumaya Yönelik Tutum ve Alışkanlık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçekler Google Forms aracılığıyla öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde betimsel analiz değerleri için aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma ve frekans değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırma verilerinde normallik dağılımı varsayımı sağlandığından dolayı değişkenler arasındaki ilişki Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde öğrencilerin okuma iç motivasyonlarının yüksek seviyede hatta okuma iç motivasyonunun alt bileşeni olan merak, ilgi ve azim faktörlerinde de yüksek seviyede oldukları gözlemlenmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları incelendiğinde ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuma iç motivasyonları ve okuma tutum ve alışkanlıklarının yüksek seviyede olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca Türkçe dersi başarısının hem okuma iç motivasyonu ile hem de okuma tutum ve alışkanlıkları ile ilişkili olduğunu fakat bu ilişkinin düşük seviyede olduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırma nicel boyutta okumada tutum, alışkanlık ve iç motivasyon değişkenlerinin etkisi üzerine yapılmıştır.
