INTRODUÇÃOEspécies orgânicas instáveis ou reativas podem ser estabilizadas mediante a formação de complexos organometálicos, procedimento de larga aplicação na síntese inorgânica mais recente. Exemplos clássicos representam os π-complexos de Fe(CO) 3 com ciclobutadieno, trimetilenometano, ciclopentadienona, e outras espécies semelhantes 1,2,3 . Tais moléculas apresentam em comum o fato de que, devido à facilidade com que sofrem transformações internas (internal rearrangement) no estado livre, não podem ser isoladas em condições normais 4,5 . Além do fato de atuarem como ligantes formando complexos organometálicos, e com isto serem estabilizadas, estas espéci-es, em geral, conservam no complexo a sua individualidadepor exemplo, ciclobutadieno, no complexo Fe(CO) 3 (C 4 H 4 ). Isto torna possível, também, o estudo das suas propriedades 1 . Pertencem a esta classe de moléculas, além de algumas fosfanas ligadas a grupamentos acila (acilfosfanas), as sulfinile as sulfonil-fosfanas.Ao contrário das suas homólogas -as sulfinamidas e sulfonamidas -estas moléculas até o momento são desconhecidas. Inúmeras tentativas de síntese resultaram infrutífe-ras 6,7,8 , possivelmente devido a reações redox intra-moleculares, do tipo Arbusov-Michaelis 9,10 . Resultados obtidos por Lorenz et al. 11,12 , indicam que tais espécies podem atuar como ligantes em complexos organometálicos, o que permite a sua estabilização.A síntese de compostos de fósforo e fosforila análogos às sulfonamidas, do tipo R(O) 2 SPR' 2 e R(O) 2 SP(O)R' 2 , foi tentada 13 pela reação de cloretos de fosfinila R' 2 P(O)Cl (R' = CH 3 , C 6 H 5 ), com sulfinatos de prata RSO 2 Ag (R = CH 3, p-CH 3 C 6 H 4 ). Com base nestes resultados, foram feitas tentativas 11 de fixar sulfinilfosfinitos, extremamente instáveis (tipo V, Esquema 1), na esfera de coordenação protetora de um átomo metálico complexado, a partir da reação de (CO) 5 M[P(C 6 H 5 ) 2 H] (M = Cr, Mo, W), com o cloreto de organilsulfonila RSO 2 Cl (R = CH 3 , p-CH 3 C 6 H 4 ), em trietilamina. Esperava-se, com isto, alem de se poder investigar a estabilidade e reatividade da espécie, chegar-se a isômeros (tipo II) da sulfonilfosfana (tipo I), estabilizados por complexação.
