LaRt man Alkoholate auf Alkyliden-bzw. Arylidenphthalide einwirken, so gelangt man allgemein zu Indandionderivatend-6).In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird uber die Darstellung der analogen 7-Ringverbindung 1 aus Diphensaureanhydrid und Phenylessigsaure berichtet, die auch in Beziehung zu Indandion-Antikoagulantien7) von Interesse ist.Bei der Kondensation von Diphensaureanhydrid und Phenylessigsaure mit wasserfreiem Natriumacetat unter verschiedenen Bedingungen (180-230", 0.5-3 Stdn.) stellten wir fest, daB die Reaktion erst bei 180" einsetzt und stets hauptsiichlich Diphensaure zuruckgewonnen wird. Beim Behandeln des harzigen Reaktionsproduktes mit Natriummethylat lie13 sich neben Diphensaure eine gelbe Verbindung vom Schmp. 183-184" isolieren, der nach der Analyse die erwartete Struktur 1 zukommen muR, was durch die Darstellung des Disemicarbazons und den oxydativen Abbau (KMn04) zu Benzoe-und Diphensaure bestatigt wird.Setzt man Diphensaureanhydrid und Phenylessigsaure mit Triathylamin in Acetanhydrid urng), so erhalt man das Enolacetat 3 von 1, das sich alkalisch zu 1 verseifen 1aBt.Das IR-Spektrum von 1 zeigt in Chloroform an der OH-Valenzschwingung einen hohen Gehalt an der Enolform 2 an, worin sich 1 wesentlich vom Phenyl-indandion unterscheidet 8)
