Agência financiadora: CNPq/ FAPEMIG RESUMO: Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as relações existentes entre Direito e Literatura, mais especificamente no que se refere ao direito à privacidade nas redes sociais, tendo como pano de fundo a obra literária, "1984" de Orwell. A literatura é uma ferramenta poderosa, que mostra de maneira muito clara a sociedade e suas manifestações; a partir dessa pesquisa é possível compreender melhor como a privacidade desvela na contemporaneidade. Desta maneira, esse trabalho foi feito com base no Direito na Literatura, utilizando-se da narrativa literária para o estudo do Direito. Palavras-chave: Redes Sociais. George Orwell. THOUGHTS ON SOCIAL NETWORKS AS FROM "1984" BY GEORGE ORWELL: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE TEACHING OF LAWABSTRACT: This article has the main purpose of exploring the connection between law and literature, notably the connection between the right of privacy on social media and in the book "1984", by George Orwell. Literature is a tool of enlightenment as to how society works; therefore, this research is a way to grasp how individual privacy is comprehended nowadays. Hence, this article was based on the movement Law in Literature, using a literacy narrative to study law.
