El objetivo de la presente investigación consiste en verificar el tipo de horno usado en la cocción para la elaboración de la cerámica de la cultura denominada “La Chimba” (700 a. C.- 250 d.C.) de la Sierra Norte de Ecuador. Por lo que, en este trabajo es relevante presentar la cadena operativa de la elaboración de este tipo cerámico, mediante la aplicación de un protocolo experimental en conjunto con una perspectiva etnoarqueológica.Palabras clave: Manufactura cerámica; hornos; cocción; arqueología experimental.Abstract:The objective of the present investigation is to verify the type of kiln used in cooking for the preparation of ceramics of the culture called "La Chimba" (700 a.C.-250 D.C.) of the Northern Sierra of Ecuador.
