PDEQSOLis an integrated problem-solving environment (PSE) for the solution of partial dijjferential equation (PDE) problems. The PDEQSOL translator generates a Fortran 77 program from very high-level descriptions of PDE problems and from solution algorithms. Solution functions for fluid problems are added to thejinite element method (FEM) version of PDEQSOL. By the addition of these functions, the expression of various solution algorithms for fluid problems is naturally achieved in PDEQSOL. In order to evaluate the performance of PDEQSOL'S treatment of flow problems, it is applied to several benchmark problems. The results demonstrate that the generated Fortran codes have over 90% vectorization ratios and are efficiently executable on supercomputers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
