Abstract. Fabrication in shipbuilding faces important requirements from the quality point of view, due to potential risks specific to the exploitation of the naval structures. Quality Management becomes important tool to reduce the susceptibility to failure of different components of the structures. Specific processes are involved in shipbuilding and the Quality Management should address all of them. Inspection Test Plan (ITP) should be the first step of the Quality Management and that step is previous to any action related to fabrication. Sometimes, that step is necessary to be done even before the design of the naval structure. The most important processes which are required to answer to the ITP are welding, testing of welds, treating distortions and painting. For each of them, qualification of personnel, qualification of the involved procedures, qualifications of the materials and consumables should be evaluated. Operational procedures for every step of the fabrication and for auxiliary operations should be elaborated, discussed and approved by the Quality Manager.
This paper aims to present the recent results in modeling flows behavior in some specific nanostructured sensors. The sensor’s concept is based on the advanced properties of the nanostructured materials. That is because the results in the field of the nanotechnologies showed that the sensors that are using advanced nanostructured materials are smaller, more precise, faster in response, and more efficient. The efficiency of such new type of sensor is claimed by some aspects which appear during the hybrid welding process.
This paper-work develops methods to calculate and applying the risk parameters and risk reserve in transmitting any decisions and information on the management of river traffic of vessels determined based on concept of quality assessment of the assembly "ship-crew-waterway-RIS information means" by selectively applying the relationship "Frisk+Fsafety= 1" in various conditions. Below are presented some examples of calculation of the reserve risk and submission of the naval information and the decision application modality for a dynamic optimization of the navigation conditions in the activity of river vessels traffic management.
The option of choosing to continue the route of goods arriving on waterway routes and have destinations within its territory and vice versa of internal waterways depends on many factors. We intend to analyze the optimizing conditions of inland waterway transport so that the line of route connections integrate inland water transport as a viable advantageous option. Inland waterway transport accounts for about 7 to 9% of all goods transported within the European territory, the growth opportunity being viable only if this option of transport substantially reduces its weak parts that determine orientation to car or railway transportation. We have to observe carefully the causes of low mobility generated by waterway routes, speed and rhythm of transport streams to different destinations, quality and timeliness of the service provided, the active involvement and integrated of ports as logistic hubs essential in the combined transport of goods. An important step that can generate growth of inland water transport option is how they respond to the request of transport based on development of voyage planning concept, objective that we try to detail in all aspects.
Abstract. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the data recorded and used in inland transport activity utlizand information that is recorded in "electronic ship reporting" and "Automatic Identification System" in the standard River Information Services -Vessel Traking and Tracing combined with those additionally recorded in the logbook and in the seafarer's service book. RIS recordings largely make the database necessary for keeping the Logbook, and differences can be evaluated through a matrix. The concentrated data set can be used to determine the working time of seafarers and establishing the compliance with promotion requirements based on the training fully recorded, to accumulate data necessary for shaping risk functions, to clarify the conditions under which shipping accidents occurred, with results in the recovery of losses by marine insurance, to a thorough and accurate risk analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
