En 2005 se dieron a conocer los primeros registros de insectos y otros invertebrados fitófagos asociados a murta o murtilla en el sur de Chile, como parte de la contribución al proyecto FDI CORFO 02 CAT-04 "Domesticación y desarrollo de la murtilla (Ugni molinae Turcz.), una baya nativa para la zona sur de Chile". Durante 2005 y parte de 2006 se continuaron las prospecciones de insectos fitófagos en hábitats silvestres y en condiciones artificiales de cultivo bajo cubierta o en campo a cielo abierto. En el presente trabajo se presenta la determinación de diez nuevos registros pertenecientes a dos Hemiptera (Un Pseudococcidae; un Margarodidae), cinco Lepidoptera (un Arctiidae; un Hepialidae; dos Saturnidae; un Tortricidae) y Coleoptera (Un Scarabaeidae; dos Curculionidae), material biológico obtenido esta vez sólo en condiciones de cultivos experimentales. Con ello, en la actualidad, el registro de insectos fitófagos y otros invertebrados fitófagos asociados a murta o murtilla en Chile alcanza a 32 especies; sin embargo, al considerar la relación determinada entre la enfermedad denominada escoba de bruja de la murta o murtilla, debida a un fitoplasma transmitido por dos Cicadellidae (Hemiptera), los insectos representan el 88,24% de los invertebrados fitófagos asociados a U. molinae.
