Educación a distancia virtual ¿una oportunidad? Experiencias y desafíos desde la pandemia del COVID-19Virtual distance education, an opportunity? experiences and challenges since the COVID-19 pandemic
El contexto de pandemia de COVID-19 limitó el acceso y uso de espacios públicos urbanos, a partir de las medidas de confinamiento impulsadas para prevenir contagios. Sin embargo, esta limitación no fue homogénea, ya que presentó características diferenciadas entre hombres y mujeres. En este sentido, este artículo busca identificar el rol del género en las experiencias de jóvenes en espacios públicos urbanos de la ciudad de Talca, Chile, durante el contexto de COVID-19. Se utilizó una metodología mixta, recolectando y analizando datos tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos, a partir de la aplicación de encuestas y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Dentro de los principales resultados se destaca que: i) existieron diferencias a nivel de prácticas, es decir, en la asistencia y actividades realizadas por jóvenes hombres y mujeres; ii) estas diferencias en prácticas se basan en imaginarios urbanos que en el caso de jóvenes mujeres se caracterizan por sensaciones de temor; y iii) el contexto de COVID-19 visibilizó e intensificó aquel imaginario y ciertas prácticas de precaución en espacios públicos urbanos. De esta manera se concluye que existen experiencias espaciales urbanas diferenciadas por género, develadas por la pandemia, que responden a contextos socioculturales e influyen en la manera de (con)vivir el espacio.
El propósito de este artículo es describir y comprender la autoproducción visual y la utilización de sitios de redes sociales en el campo de prácticas corporales urbanas. La investigación se realizó desde una perspectiva etnográfica, participando de una comunidad de practicantes de parkour e incorporando aspectos de etnografía virtual para realizar observación en sitios de redes sociales. Los principales resultados muestran que la autoproducción visual y la socialización del contenido en sitios de redes sociales tienen como fin principal: 1) difundir y dar a conocer la práctica de parkour; 2) registrar y mostrar los progresos corporales de sus practicantes; y 3) visibilizar otras formas de experimentar la ciudad y sus espacios públicos. Finalmente, así como los practicantes de parkour –u otras prácticas urbanas– se apropian de los espacios públicos urbanos, también lo hacen con el espacio digital a través del contenido visual autoproducido, en una relación dialéctica entre ambos espacios.
