Literatur und Revolution in Yaak Karsunkes Ruhrkampf-RevueEinführung Yaak Karsunke schreibt in seinem Gedicht helden gedenken: "kein toter öffnet eine tür / durch die er nicht als lebender gegangen". 1 Diese Schlusszeilen, die als Fazit des Gedichts über die gewaltige Kraft von Erinnerung die Grenzen zwischen Dies-und Jenseits ins Schwanken bringen, könnten aber zur Beschreibung von Karsunkes dramatischem Gesamtwerk angewendet werden, da in seiner Bauernoper und Ruhrkampf-Revue Rückschau und die nicht unverbindliche Beschwörung der gespenstischen Vergangenheit durchaus eine essentielle Rolle spielen. Karsunke -typischer Repräsentant der kritischen, durch die Frankfurter Schule beeinflussten 68er-Generation 2 -wirkt mit seiner schriftstellerischen Arbeit eben auf dieser Schnittstelle, die in helden gedenken zum Thema erhoben wird. Die unterdrückten Toten können über das literarische Wort die Stimme erheben, um so in der Gegenwart Resonanz und Erlösung zu finden. Diese Zeitschrift, Kürbiskern, wurde neben Hans Magnus Enzensbergers Heft Kursbuch (eine Zeitschrift, in der auch Karsunke selbst einige Aufsätze publiziert hat und mit deren Redakteurin Ingrid Karsunke er verheiratet war) ein maßgebliches Sprachrohr der linken Bewegung. 1968 aber kam es zu einer "Kürbiskernspaltung" und Karsunke musste die Redaktion nach einem Meinungsunterschied über die sowjetische Anwesenheit in der ČSSR verlassen. Anhand dieses Beispiels tritt die politische Position Karsunkes deutlich hervor. Er sah sich selber als einen unabhängigen Linken und zögerte in keinem Fall, sich dem Sozialismus und Kommunismus gegenüber kritisch zu äußern.
