The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between self-concept and tendency to become bully victim in early adolescents. Bullying is an act in which a person or group try to hurt, damage, oppress or do other negative actions to someone who is weak. Bullying occurs repeatedly time to time and will continue to occur if there is someone who feels having power (called as actors) and someone who feels weak (called as victims). Those could happen due to the imbalance in their development of self-concept. This study is a survey research. The subjects were 179 students in Junior High School in Surabaya (67 males and 112 females) with age ranged from 12 to 14 years old. Data were collected using the Self-Concept Questionnaire (20 items) and Bully Victim Questionnaire (16 items). Data were analyzed using Pearson's product moment. The results of this study found a negative correlation between self-concept and the tendency to be bully victim in early adolescence (r= -.772; p< .001). Negative correlation had meaning that adolescents with positive self-concept were less vulnerable to be bully victim, while adolescents with negative self-concept would tend to be bully victim. It is recommended for further research to employ better methods, theories and measuring tools.
Dentigerous cyst is a developmental odontogenic cyst which originates through alterations of reduced enamel epithelium in an unerupted tooth or a developing tooth bud. These cysts rarely associate with supernumerary teeth. Supernumerary teeth accounts for 5% of all dentigerous cysts. The most common supernumerary teeth are mesiodens. The case study aimed to present a rare case of infected dentigerous cyst on a totally impacted mesiodens. This case report describes a rare case of infected dentigerous cyst associated with mesiodens in a 33 year old female who presented with a slow growing swelling in the palatal. Dentigerous cyst was treated with cyst enucleation with extraction of the mesiodens. Mesiodens should be diagnosed at the earliest possible time and its management should be conducted to prevent development of dentigerous cyst and damage to adjacent teeth and vital structures.
As most cities are rapidly expanding, space of death, such as a cemetery, is in demand. In a metropolitan like Jakarta where the population grows rapidly, land for the dead competes with the urgent needs of urban development. It is often used not only for death purposes but also for everyday needs. A cemetery is a place where sacredness and banality occur. At Taman Pemakaman Umum (TPU or Public Cemetery in English) Tanah Kusir, a well-known cemetery in South Jakarta, people do not only bury, do a pilgrimage, or perform religious rituals about death. They also use it for commerce, a shortcut, a place for animal care, and other activities. This paper shows our preliminary study on how TPU Tanah Kusir as a public space provides space of death while accommodating inevitable banal activities. We analyzed its physical feature and people's thought about it. We then defined the circumstances that make it both private and public in order to comprehend its role as a public space. The overlapping sacred value and its daily uses have made TPU Tanah Kusir become a heterotopic space. Our study shows that grave ownership and its accessibility determined the cemetery's spatial characteristics.
