O artigo apresenta os resultados do estudo de usuário realizado pelo Sistema de Bibliotecas da Universidade de Caxias do Sul – SiBUCS1 através do método de pesquisa quantitativa aplicada à comunidade acadêmica da instituição. Esse estudo teve como objetivo mensurar o grau de satisfação dos usuários das bibliotecas que fazem parte do SiBUCS, bem como analisar e suprir suas reais necessidades na utilização do espaço físico e serviços oferecidos. Também, por meio dos resultados obtidos, pode-se traçar um perfil do usuário, verificando alguns hábitos para a recuperação da informação, além de identificar e compreender suas necessidades. Quanto à metodologia aplicada, esse estudo baseou-se na elaboração de um questionário eletrônico contendo 18 questões de múltipla escolha. Após, esse questionário foi disponibilizado por meio de um link gerado pelo Google Formulários e enviado por e-mail para a comunidade acadêmica da instituição. Quanto ao fechamento do questionário, houve um espaço de sugestões para servir como melhoria aos serviços oferecidos. A maior parte dos usuários declarou que encontra, na maioria das vezes, o material que procura e qualifica os serviços da biblioteca de forma positiva. Estudo de usuários como esse em bibliotecas são relevantes para mensurar o grau de satisfação e conhecer o perfil do público a quem se destina.
This essay aims to contribute with aspects, reflections and theories related to decoloniality in the field of Librarianship, more precisely in the field of university libraries, verifying existing decolonial actions regarding culture and practices through the integration of the library and itsusers. The context of decolonial relations in the academic scenario is verified, covering educational, social and cultural areas and information. It is also verified how the librarian, through histraining, can work with aspects related to decoloniality. Finally, the issue of diversity in academic libraries is seen both in the theoretical and practical aspects, related to the best actions of promotion and social equity.
De acordo com os avanços tecnológicos e a disseminação da informação crescente em ambientes virtuais, faz-se necessária a abordagem de novas formas e ferramentas de gestão do conhecimento. Este artigo é um relato de experiência dos principais passos para a criação do repositório institucional na Universidade de Caxias do Sul. Apresenta dados da primeira coleta de registros dos documentos incorporados, um pouco da metodologia aplicada para o desenvolvimento do projeto, bem como aborda as atividades realizadas, enfatizando a continuação da inserção da produção intelectual da Instituição e da comunicação científica. Destaca a relevância de incorporar, reunir e disponibilizar os vários tipos de materiais da Instituição em um suporte virtual.
Objetivo: objetivo contribuir com aspectos, reflexões e teorias ligadas à decolonialidade no campo da Biblioteconomia, mais precisamente no campo das bibliotecas universitárias, verificando ações decoloniais existentes no que se refere à cultura e às práticas por meio da integração da biblioteca e de seus usuários.
Método: Utiliza o método qualitativo teórico com ênfase na epistemologia e pesquisa em fontes bibliográficas.
Resultado: É verificado o contexto das relações decoloniais no cenário acadêmico com abrangência nas áreas de educação, sociais, culturais e de informação. Também é verificado como o profissional bibliotecário, por meio da sua formação, pode trabalhar com aspectos ligados à decolonialidade. Por fim, a questão da diversidade em bibliotecas acadêmicas é vista tanto no aspecto teórico quanto no prático, relacionada às melhores ações de promoção e equidade social.
Conclusões: Apresenta algumas questões ligadas à decolonialidade em bibliotecas universitárias e a função do profissional bibliotecário como agente social.
