Platinum(II)-based drugs are widely used for the treatment of solid tumors, especially in combination protocols. Severe side effects and occurrence of resistance are the major limitations to their clinical use....
I9F n.m.r. chemical shifts of free fluoroarenes have been correlated with the Swain–Lupton field and resonance parameters. Comparison of these data with the corresponding Cr(CO)3 complexes shows little change in the transmission of mesomeric effects by para-substituents. Meta-substituents which interact primarily by a field effect have very little influence on the fluorine chemical shift in the complexes suggesting that the σ framework of the ring interacts with the chromium.
M60 1 QD 2-Chloro-1 ,I ,2-trifluoro-2-iodoethyl and hexafluoro-2-iodopropyl azide have been prepared by treating chlorotrifluoroethylene and perfluoropropene, respectively, with iodine azide.
V. irradiation of 2H-hexafluoropropyl azide yields nitrogen and 3H-hexafluoro-2-azabut-1 -ene, which reacts with water to give trifluoroacetaldehyde and undergoes fluoride-initiated isomerisation to 3H-hexafluoro-Z-azabut-2-ene. Photolysis of the azide in the presence of an excess of cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, or cyclohexene yields, after hydrolysis of the initial products, N-cyclohexyl-, N-(1 -methylcyclohexyl)-, and N-(cyclohex-2-enyl)c$PP-tetrafluoropropionamide, respectively, These azide decomposition reactions may be interpreted in terms of the intermediacy of 2H-hexafluoropropylnitrene, just as photolysis of 2-chloro-l,1,2-trifluoroethyl azide alone to give 3-chloro-l,1,3-trifluoro-2-azapropene and in the presence of cyclohexane to provide N-cyclohexylchlorofluoroacetamide may be rationalised in terms of 2-chloro-I ,I ,2-trifluoroethylnitrene. Treatment of chlorotrifluoroethylene with triethylammonium azide under the conditions used to convert perfluoropropene into 2H-hexafluoropropyl azide and perfluoropropenyl azide apparently yields only 2-chloro-1.12-trifluoroethyl azide.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
