The synthesis of CdS nanocrystals has been carried out from the thermolysis in a dynamic vacuum, between 150 and 300 °C, of the novel asymmetric cadmium dithiocarbamate [Cd{S 2 CNMe(C 18 H 37 )} 2 ]; the particles 'self cap' during preparation; different size nanocrystals were synthesised, at different temperatures, and there was a change in phase from cubic to hexagonal CdS at a decomposition temperature of 300 °C.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
