DFT testing after implant is safe; however, routine postimplant DFT testing has limited value in assessing abnormalities in patients with the current generation of biphasic transvenous ICD devices. A 10-J safety margin was associated with a lower incidence of adverse clinical events in patients with DFTs > 25 J. Endovascular lead failure remains a significant problem with ICD systems requiring vigilant follow-up.
Persistent SP conduction post-ablation in this series was a common finding not predictive of recurrence. No difference in the maximum SP conduction window post-ablation was evident between recurrences and non-recurrences.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
