Purpose : This study made an attempt to discover the factors of successful aging through the focus group interviews with the elderly subjects, verify the effects of forming and applying a program for successful aging, and provide the data for the promotion of community health. Method : This study is a study of the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design attempted to verify the effects of a successful aging program on the aging attitude, successful aging efficacy, and the successful aging intention after applying a successful aging program to the elderly subjects. For the data collection, a total of 32 people participated in the study by conducting an 10-session program with the subjects aged 55 or older living in H-gun, K-do. Results : As a result of this study. it was confirmed that the experimental group participating in the successful aging program had a significant difference in terms of the aging attitude, successful aging efficacy, and the successful aging intention relative to the control group. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that the successful aging program is an effective intervention program for the successful aging intention, successful aging efficacy, and the aging attitude, and it would be effectively used for the health promotion program in terms of the community nursing practice.
