The service level in community must be considered if it wants to continue to be used by the users. This research studies the adoption of Financial Technology (FinTech) services in the terms of trust and risk. The work employs the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory as the theoretical basis combined with trust and perceived risk. The research method is quantitative. The data are analyzed by the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using Smart PLS V2.0. The researchers use a questionnaire in Google Form to collect the data. It is distributed online with the snowball data collection technique. As a result, 548 respondents are successfully gathered. The results indicate that the factor of users trusts influences perceived usefulness in the adoption to use FinTech services. However, the risk factor does not affect the use of FinTech services, which further does not influence the users’ attitude. The work contributes to the study of the adoption of FinTech services, which provides a view determining the users’ intention to use FinTech services in Indonesia.
This study explores the influence of trust and risk in the use of FinTech in Indonesian society. This exploration is based on findings from previous studies that suggest that trust and risk are important aspects in considering the use of FinTech. The focus of this research is to develop and validate the research instruments that will be used next. The basic theory of model development uses the theory of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed by Davis. The models and instruments developed will be through pilot studies involving 133 communities as respondents. This Study is quantitative research and data obtained were analyzed using smart pls v3.0. This analysis is conducted to ensure the level of reliability and validity of the instrument. The results of this analysis find 31 instruments that are stated reliable and validity. So it can be used for collecting data from a survey in accordance with the research.
Purpose The role of higher education institutions is paramount in creating social and cultural conditions for sustainability. Several studies show universities play an important role in promoting public understanding and awareness about sustainability. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of university social responsibility (USR) on green and nongreen campuses and how it affects the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of students' self-consciousness (SSC), especially in accounting undergraduate programs by looking at how the undergraduate programs shape their curriculum and can build student awareness related to CSR. Design/methodology/approach A total of 704 accounting undergraduate programs students from eight different universities in Indonesia were surveyed to test the CSR SSC. Eight participating universities were included in the green campus based on Universitas Indonesia Green Metric (UI GreenMetric) and nongreen campus. Each university was analyzed regarding the application of USR. Findings The results of this study show that universities included in the green campus at the UI GreenMetric do not necessarily have a higher USR than the nongreen campus. Overall, there is evidence that graduates from universities with high USR implementation have better CSR SSC than graduates from universities with low USR implementation. Furthermore, the findings of this study show that there is a high value of ethic and CSR knowledge coming from university students with high USR implementation but not so with character. The findings show the same results from students between the two university groups. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the first attempt to examine the effect of USR implementation on CSR SSC in Indonesia, by putting students’ CSR knowledge as a part of CSR SSC.
The development of electronic learning models, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia has grown well as information technology applications designed for learning purposes. Community colleges and schools seek to complement the traditional teaching system with e-learning systems. However, we found there are differences in individual learning styles in terms of speed and learning styles. Serving or teaching students with one mechanism of the same teaching method will ignore individual rights while reducing the meaning of education broadly from the humanity dimension. Such situations will affect the target of increasing competence, the growth of knowledge and the value expected for some individuals to fail. The electronic learning model then undergoes a shift away from a mere system, now evolving into a personalized learning model, where learning processes are oriented toward the students' abilities. Under these conditions, models and other techniques are needed to help personalized adaptive learning as they need it. The purpose of this study was to identify the general criteria of personalized electronic learning model to meet the needs, interests and objectives of the learner in a more personal sense in a broader sense. This research was conducted through literature study on papers published in the last five years (2012 -2017). The results show the common components, techniques or tools that are commonly used, as well as the support of the theoretical basis used as the platform for the development of a personalized elearning model.
Abstract:Purpose: To analyze students' social media preference in order to improve student engagement with university by examining social media implementation quality in terms of information and service quality.Design/methodology/approach: Research methodology is started with the hierarchy creation of student engagement with university which then translated into questionnaire. This questionnaire was distributed to 58 universities in Jakarta (Indonesia's capital). The questionnaire result was analyzed with entropy and TOPSIS method. Findings:In social media implementation quality, information quality is more important than service quality because in social media, a good information quality is really relevant with the usefulness and comprehensiveness of the information. On the other hand regarding service quality, the system availability will help students in their interaction process with university, on top of the service's efficiency and fulfillment. This directly impacts the cooperation between students, active learning process, and students' expectation. Practical implications:The Social CRM channel shift from electronic into social media shows that social media holds an important role for university since it eases up the communication between university and the students. The good social media management has been an issue that needs to be solved by university by creating a unit or delegate a person that can manage the social media correctly and quickly so the students feel that they get the good service they want.Originality/value: The other researches focus on observing social media influence to improve student engagement, but only in the context of learning process. This research observes social media roles in student engagement thoroughly according to the existing good practice. This research can also shows the order of social media that are seen important to create student engagement.
