A gestão da informação tem se tornado uma preocupação que cresce nas organizações. Logo, esse estudo tem a ideia de propor a representação do fluxo da informação para o processo de emissão de selos postais no Brasil, com a escolha do tipo comemorativo, como uma forma de melhor atender às necessidades de adequação e acompanhamento desse processo para sugerir melhorias e fazer análises mais eficientes. Para tanto o presente trabalho teve como o objetivo o desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa exploratória com o foco de mostrar o fluxo da informação da emissão de selos postais comemorativos e propor um novo fluxo de informação. O método de pesquisa adotado foi a pesquisa-ação realizada pelo levantamento das instituições participantes desse processo, para buscar um melhor entendimento, com o auxílio da Gestão de Processos de Negócio – BPM para realizar a representação do fluxo da informação. Assim, dentre os resultados imediatos desse trabalho, tem a ajuda de possíveis sistemas de informações para ajudar na tomada de decisão em algumas etapas do fluxo da informação da emissão de selos postais comemorativos. Como resultados potenciais, pode ser comentado através das sugestões propostas feitas nesse estudo, a melhoria na execução de atividades gerenciais, o ganho de tempo e produtividade pela melhor troca ou compartilhamento de informações em sistemas de informação e uma melhor visão sobre como o processo de emissão de selos comemorativos funciona para realizar tomadas de decisões.
