iğiller (verrukalar), genital ve ekstragenital bölgeleri etkileyebilen insan papilloma virüsü [human papilloma virus (HPV)] nün neden olduğu enfeksiyöz, selim lezyonlardır. İnkübasyon periyodu genellikle Çoklu Ekstragenital Siğillerin Dermatoloji Yaşam Kalitesi Üzerine Etkisi: Kesitsel Bir Çalışma Ö ÖZ ZE ET T A Am ma aç ç: : Ekstragenital siğiller oldukça yaygın görülen, özellikle çocuk ve genç erişkinlerde daha sık rastlanan, viral, enfeksiyöz lezyonlardır. Etken özellikle insan papilloma virüs (HPV) tip 1, 2, 4, 27 ve 57'dir. Hastalığın tedavi sonrası tekrarlaması, tedaviye bağlı lokal ve sistemik gelişen yan etkiler kişileri psikolojik açıdan olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. Ekstragenital siğiller, genitale göre daha sık karşılaşılmasına rağmen yaşam kalitesi ile ilgili çalışmalar genellikle genital siğiller üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Ekstragenital siğillerle yapılmış Türk toplumunu kapsayan bir çalışma mevcut değildir. Burada amacımız, çoklu ekstragenital siğillerin yaşam kalitesi üzerine etkisini araştırmaktır. G Ge er re eç ç v ve e Y Yö ön nt te em ml le er r: : Kesitsel olarak planlanan çalışmaya, 90 çoklu ekstragenital siğili olan hasta ile 47 çoklu genital siğili olan hasta dâhil edildi. Her iki grubun demografik verileri, hekim tarafından kayıt edildi. Her iki gruba da Dermatoloji Yaşam Kalite İndeksi'nin (DYKİ) Türkçe versiyonu uygulandı. B Bu ul lg gu ul la ar r: : Hasta grubunun yaş ortalaması 26,63±11,63, kontrol grubunun yaş ortalaması ise 32,57±9,82 yıl olarak saptandı. DYKİ puanlarında her iki grup arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmadı. DYKİ puan ortalaması çoklu ekstragenital siğili olan hasta grubunda 4,00±4,32 olarak hesaplandı. S So on nu uç ç: : Çalışma sonucunda ekstragenital siğili olan grup ile genital siğili olan grup arasında DYKİ puanları arasında anlamlı fark bulunamadı. Çoklu ekstragenital siğiller, toplumun daha genç kesiminde, daha sık olarak görülen, genital siğil kadar yaşam kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkileyen, hastalarda psikososyal sorunlara yol açabilen bir hastalık grubudur.
