Çalışma kapsamında uyarlanan ölçeğin sivil toplum kuruluşları gibi farklı örgütsel ortamlarda çalışan sosyal hizmet uzmanları gibi farklı örneklemlerde ve sosyal hizmet uzmanlarına yönelik eğitimsel çalışmalarda kullanılması önerilmektedir.

Suriyelilerin kalıcı (yerleşik) olduğunun anlaşılmasıyla birlikte sosyal uyum çalışmaları gündeme gelmiştir. Misafirlikten kalıcılığa evrilen süreçte yerel halktan da çeşitli söylemlerin yükselmesi sorunun çok boyutluluğuna vurgu yapmaktadır. Bu çalışmada geçici koruma altındaki Suriyelilerin Türkiye'de kalıcı olduklarının anlaşılmasıyla birlikte önem kazanan sosyal uyum, Scudder'in istemsiz yerinden edilenlerin yeniden yerleşme süreçlerini analiz etmek üzere geliştirdiği çerçeve kapsamında incelenmektedir. Çerçeve Türkiye'deki Suriyelilerin durumuna dair bir bakış açısı sunacak şekilde uyarlanmıştır. Böylece 2011 yılından günümüze dek uzanan süreç de incelenmiştir. Ek olarak tarihsel süreçte yapılan mevzuat çalışmalarına dikkat çekilmiş ve bu çalışmaların sosyal uyum hedefi sorgulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak Suriyelilerin yerel halk ile eşit haklara sahip olmasını engelleyen ve geçicilik algısını pekiştiren geçici koruma statüsünün Suriyelilerin Türkiye'de kendilerine bir gelecek kurmalarını ve yerel halk ile bütünleşebilmelerini desteklemediği anlaşılmıştır.
Poverty is one of the most important areas of work as a social problem. In this study, views of social workers who worked or working in the field of social assistance towards the provision of social assistance in Turkey is evaluated by qualitative research methods. A phenomenological perspective was chosen as the study design, interviews were made with 13 social workers, and the data were analyzed by content analysis. Social workers mentioned the importance of household investigation in the field of social assistance. In the theme of the evaluation process, the participants drew attention to who will be called poor and how the amount of assistance will be determined. Here, the participants state their doubts about the amount of assistance, the way the assistance are linked, the way the assistance are assessed, the repetition of the assistance, the professional who plays a key role in the assistance, and the processes after the assistance is connected. In the theme of responsibility, the negative effects of failure to establish a link between assistance and individual responsibility, and the unconditional giving of the assistance, and the importance of linking between the assistance and the labour market were addressed. It is emphasized that there is an uncertain and complex structure in the social assistance system and the problems of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations as an important actor were stated. As a result, coordination between institutions and organizations and automation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the social assistance system in Turkey and the importance of combating the risk of social assistance dependency was stated.
This study aims to measure the impact of "social work with immigrants and asylum seekers" course in the social work undergraduate curriculum on the social work students based on the example of Syrians. In this way, social workers who have responsibility for working with vulnerable and fragile groups, whether the courses they take during their undergraduate education processes have created an unexpected level of change, will be addressed on a current, dynamic and important subject. This study was carried out with undergraduate students taking "social work with immigrants and asylum seekers" course from two different public universities in our country. In this process, the research was designed according to the single group pretest-posttest model with the quantitative research method using the personal information form, "Xenophobia Scale" and "The Attitude Scale Towards Syrians". As a result of the research, the scores received by the students from "Xenophobia Scale" and "The Attitude Scale Towards Syrians" which was applied before and after "social work with immigrants and asylum seekers" course were compared and significant difference was found between the scores. Post-test scores of both universities' social work students which was received from "Xenophobia Scale" and "The Attitude Scale Towards Syrians" significantly higher than the pre-test scores (p<0,01). As a result, It has been determined that the undergraduate course given to social work students for immigrants and refugees has a positive effect on the perception of social work students towards Syrians. In addition, it has been observed that this significant effect depends on many components as well as the permanent gains and behaviors created in the desired direction with structured education processes can be used effectively in studies and trainings such as migration, social cohesion, diversity and living together.
