Jute/glass fibers epoxy composites are significantly used in construction, automotive, aerospace, and wind turbine industries. In this work, jute/glass fibers epoxy composites reinforced with two different types of filler such as the Al2O3 and SiO2 particles at different weight rations (5, 10, and 15 gm) were investigated in relation to the viscosity. The composite samples required for various tests were fabricated in conventional hand lay‐up method. Physical, thermal stability, and mechanical properties such as tensile, bending and modulus of elasticity, and viscosity tests were conducted for the fabricated composites and the effect of reinforced materials and their dispersion competency was investigated through the assessment of their microstructure with SEM, XRD, FTIR, UV, and TGA/DSC. From the results, fabricated composites exhibit linear behavior and the maximum tensile strength were found 113.438 MPa for S2 without inclusion of particles and S4 with inclusion of Al2O3 and SiO2 exhibited higher elongation 12.06%. The viscosity of the epoxy matrix showed that viscosity is increased significantly as the inclusion of the Al2O3 and SiO2 particles volume are increased. The principal weight loss takes place at 336 to 338°C, which associated weight losses were 76% for S3, 68% for S4, and 67% for S6. Jute agglomerated orientation, some void, fracture behavior, and crack have been identified, caused by lack of fiber/matrix adhesion. FTIR results show that N‐H, asymmetric stretching Si‐O‐Si, Si‐O‐C and Si‐OH bonds, C‐C stretches, C‐O bond and Al‐O‐H symmetric bonding were identified. UV analysis identified different peaks which are 254.42, 329.06, 413.5, and 473.73 nm.

In this research work, two types of composites' specimens are prepared by using CaCO 3 , Al 2 O 3 , MgO, TiO 2 and CuO as functional fillers with epoxy as matrix and glass fiber as reinforcement. Initially three composite specimens are fabricated where TiO 2 particle of varying wt (4gm, 8gm, 12gm) is used with fixed wt of epoxy and glass fiber (120gm and12gm, 212gm). Similarly another three composites' specimens are prepared where CuO is used instead of TiO 2 . In both the cases equal manual compression pressure is used. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and scanning electronic microcopy (SEM) analysis of the prepared specimens are done with the help of calorimetric and Mountains®8 software respectively. Due to addition of TiO 2 and CuO it is observed that the melting temperature (Tm) and glass transition temperature (Tg) are elevated which indicate degree of composite crystallinity established by the strong interfacial interactions of CuO than that of TiO 2 particles and the amorphous region of the chain. As a result thermal stability of the composites prepared with CuO is enhanced over TiO 2 . Particle scanning of the composites by Mountains®8 software analysis shows that with increasing projection area and mean diameter of functional filler particles, surface outlines of the composites are smoothen which has positive correlation with CuO particles in the composites.

As humanity progresses, tribology continues to make vital contributions in addressing the demands for advanced technological developments, resulting in increasing machine durability and improving the quality of life. At the point when organic systems particularly human joints for example knees, hips, and so forth which constantly move concerning each other, tribology moves toward becoming bio-tribology. Various essential bio-tribological testing phenomena can significantly influence the result of wear for the implant design and material selection. The study also found the different types of frictional losses in bio-tribology and prevention of these losses. The application of tribology in dentistry is also a growing and rapidly expanding field. In restorative dentistry, metals and alloys and ceramics and composites are generally applied to restorations and implants. The complex inter-oral environment and biomechanics, make the wear processes of artificial dental materials are very complicated and normally include abrasion, attrition, corrosion, fretting wear, and fatigue. These processes occur in various combinations to cause surface loss of materials in the mouth. Intensive research has been conducted to develop an understanding of bio tribology for the successful design and selection of implants and artificial dental materials. This study is carried out to improve the knowledge about bio-tribology and thereby guide the researchers to get their future research directives.
