A questionnaire and interview recently given to 5-8 year old children and their parents show that consumption of vegetables is low. One of the factors for the low consumption is due to the lack of creativity in making various menu and creative media to obtain children?s interest in wanting to consume vegetables. In Indonesia, if young children can be taught to actively use the English language, it will be a great advantage for their future?s education. Based on these backgrounds, through the various media available in today?s popular culture, picturebooks that can increase children?s ability to read English language texts in addition to consume vegetables is created. A picturebook project is regarded highly relevant for teachers who specialize in English language, visual communicative design and food technology. This article shares how with a bilingual picturebook, a reader will know how to pronounce the English language well because there is a phonetic transcription guide provided at the back of the book. Also at the back of the book is a menu for the vegetable that becomes the main character of the book. With this strategy, the book is projected to be popular to readers who want to also create attractive vegetable menus for children. The picturebook that is packed with simple yet interesting visual language is also a way to show how creative one can be in designing lovable vegetable characters. This article discusses the reasonings of creating the picture book.
The biggest challenge for architecture designers is the time required for the design process. Especially landscape architects who have different work limits from architects in general. In contrast to architects in general, who are assisted in producing design plans by building standards, building requirements, and space programs that adapt to the type of project being undertaken. At the same time, some design jobs demand high-productivity landscape animation presentation in a short time. The long process involved in designing animation often makes it difficult for designers to produce optimal work. This study proposes generative zooming animation with artificial intelligence support to shorten the designer’s work process and energy optimization. Deep learning with Vector Quantized Generative Adversarial Network and Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training was used to generate alternative landscape designs from text prompt-based and compile them in animation. Our experiment shows that one frame can be generated roughly in 3.636 ± 0.089 s, which is significantly faster than the conventional method to create animation. Moreover, our method is able to achieve a good-quality image, which scored 3.2904 using inception score evaluation. The effectiveness of deep learning in visual landscape and animation creation can help designers speed up the design process. Furthermore, working time efficiency without compromising design quality will increase designer productivity and economic growth.
Penelitian ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian prinsip layout pada infografis Mengatasi Stres Selama Wabah Covid-19 terhadap prinsip-prinsip layout menurut teori layout Surianto Rustan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan penelusuran digital dari laman resmi WHO, studi literatur, dan survey untuk mendapat data awal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa infografis Mengatasi Stres Selama Wabah Covid-19 sudah memenuhi prinsipprinsip layout menurut Surianto Rustan dengan penggunaan 4 prinsip layout yaitu Sequence, Emphasis, Balance, dan Unity. Sequence pada infografis adalah menurun dari atas kebawah. Emphasis terdapat pada judul dan lingkaran ilustrasi. Secara keseluruhan, balance pada infografis adalah simetris, dan Unity pada infografis muncul dari penggunaan elemen-elemen visual yang seragam / sama pada setiap halaman infografis.
