The purpose of this research is to discuss a sacred and a transcendence tradition of ngrowot at PPLQ in the perspective of a medic and a scientific neuroscience. All of data that was correlated with the ngrowot tradition was categorized empirically and scientifically, and then it was analyzed through neuroplasticity theory explaining the brain that can be transformed by behavioral changes. The result of this study explained that the philosophy of ngrowot is theology and food sovereignty. In the modern era, ngrowot becomes a healthy lifestyle for some elite that is called as the “healthy diet”. This research develops food theology in terms of Islamic educational neuroscience into theology of intelligence and the sovereignty of thinking. The theology of intelligence makes ngrowot as tirakat during the learning process in order to get barokah in terms of the intelligence aspects, and get the benefits in the world and the hereafter. The sovereignty of thinking makes ngrowot as laku prihatin so a salafist’s intelligence of ngrowot cannot be easily interrupted by the secular idea that is not appropriate with Islamic spiritual teachings. The behavioral changes of ngrowot believers also implicate to the structure of neuron in the mind. So, ngrowot can be an educational character method, and in the same time, it also develops the intelligence of ngrowot believera in any dimensions.
Islamic education based on local wisdom is an important component in the world of education today because humans not only need knowledge but also spiritual strength in a personality full of wisdom, good value, embedded and followed by community members which is then reflected in words, deeds, and feelings related to God, self, fellow humans. Education can be obtained from anywhere. One of them is through quality and quality literary works, namely the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari. This study aims to determine the values of Islamic education based on local wisdom in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari. This research is a type of library research research with a library approach. The primary data source is the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari and other related sources. The data collection method used documentary studies with content analysis techniques. The results of the study concluded that the values of Islamic education based on local wisdom contained in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari were the value of aqidah / faith education, the value of worship education, the value of moral education and the value of social education.
Pidato dalam bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berbahasa Inggris, mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi perkembangan bahasa Inggris di era globalisasi, melatih kepercayaan diri siswa saat berbicara bahasa Inggris, dan mempersiapkan siswa untuk mengikuti lomba-lomba pidato (speech) bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan reputasi sekolah dan prestasi dalam kemampuan penguasaan bahasa Inggris yang di miliki oleh siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah investigasi yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode PAR (Participatory Action Research) dan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam bahasa Inggris khususnya dalam pidato bahasa Inggris, kemudian juga meningkatkan motivasi dan minat siswa dalam belajar pidato bahasa Inggris, serta meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya peranan pidato bahasa Inggris dan juga meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami makna kata dalam bahasa Inggris.
