Objective: To know the role of nurses in the care of children with cancer.Method: This is an integrative review, with a survey of articles in the LILACS, SCIELO, BDENF and PubMed databases, published between 2005 and 2015, with 26 articles being selected for analysis and discussion. Analysis and discussion:As for the year of publication, it was verified that the years with the most publications on the subject were -2008, 2010, 2012 to 2015, concentrating 24(91.97%) publications. The nursing team should monitor the evolution of the disease by supporting the child and their families, thus facilitating the development of the treatment, thus easing the stress of the child and family. Final considerations:It is up to the professional nurse to develop a relationship of trust with the child with cancer and its relatives, in order to facilitate care and treatment.
Objectives: Reporting the experience of health education regarding Aedes aegypti in the Federal District. Methods: This is a case report, with descriptive approach, about the experience of nursing practice with education actions against the Aedes aegypti in communities of the Federal District, carried out between 2015 and 2018. Subjects of the research were undergraduate students in nursing, healthcare professionals, and the community. Results: There have been 24 educational interventions against Aedes aegypti, adapted to the needs of each population, using a “giant” sculpture of the mosquito, theater performances, lectures, booklets, and home visits. Conclusions: The project trained teachers, healthcare professionals, graduate students in nursing, and the community through the empowerment of this population, aiming at combating the Aedes aegypti vector.
RESUMO:Estudo qualitativo e descritivo cujo objetivo foi identificar a representação social das quedas de idosos e a estrutura dessas representações. Como referencial teórico-metodológico optou-se pela Teoria das Representações Sociais de Serge Moscovici. Realizouse entrevista com 68 idosos da Universidade Aberta à Terceira Idade no Distrito Federal. Para análise dos dados utilizou-se os softwares EVOC e ALCESTE. Observou-se que a representação social da queda em idosos se estrutura em torno de cognições ligadas "machucar", "medo" e "quebrar", revelando uma contradição entre os conteúdos de conhecimento e as práticas relatadas pelos participantes. The theoretical and methodological framework was chosen Theory of Social Representations of Serge Moscovici. We conducted interviews with 68 elderly at the Open University of the Third Age in the Federal District. For data analysis we used the EVOC and ALCESTE software. It was observed that the social representation of falls in the elderly is structured around cognitions connected "hurt", "fear" and "break", revealing a contradiction between knowledge and the practices reported by participants.
