Les contextes de crise et d'ultralibéralisme qui traversent actuellement l'Afrique façonnent un grand nombre d'entrepreneurs d'un nouveau genre : ils ne sont pas forcément commerçants, promoteurs, petits patrons ou businessmen du secteur informels, mais ils évoluent dans d'autres mondes sociaux. Qu'il s'agisse de l'art, de l'enseignement ou du religieux, ces univers facilitent l'émergence d'entrepreneurs capables d'innover, de gérer des contraintes, de développer des stratégies d'accumulation et de faire preuve d'un véritable savoir faire managérial. Le parti pris de cet ouvrage est de considérer que la faculté d'entreprendre ne relève pas du seul champ économique, mais s'étend à d'autres sphères d'actions (politique, culturelle, religieuse, sociale) qui sont autant de vecteurs d'innovation. Ce numéro rassemble les études de différentes formes d'entreprises : religieuse (Laurent et al.), culturelles (André et Andrieu), foncière (Bouju) et enfin des entreprises marchandes, formelle (Lesourd) ou informelle (Abé). Depuis trente ans, l'Afrique subsaharienne est le théâtre d'un réveil religieux qui se manifeste par une expansion de la sphère islamique dans les espaces publics. Les radios islamiques se multiplient, les prédicateurs s'expriment les jours de grandes fêtes musulmanes dans des stades bondés de fidèles, de nouvelles formes de solidarité apparaissent avec les ONG et les associations islamiques. Cette effervescence est observable dans la plupart des pays musulmans au sud du Sahara (Piga 2007), mais aussi dans des pays traditionnellement considérés comme des « bastions catholiques » tels que le Burkina Faso ou la Côte d'Ivoire (Miran 2006). Dans ces pays, des mutations profondes sont à l'oeuvre. Au Burkina Faso, l'islam s'est développé d'une façon très remarquable en cinquante ans, plaçant le pays au rang de ceux qui sont divisés sur le plan religieux (Triaud & Villalòn 2009) avec une majorité de musulmans. Si la dernière religion du Livre fait de plus en plus d'adeptes, ce qui frappe aussi, c'est que ses leaders sont engagés dans une vaste entreprise de réislamisation destinée à rectifier les pratiques des croyants. Ainsi les élites islamiques interviennent-elles de plus en plus dans l'espace public pour prendre position sur des problèmes sociétaux et prescrire des normes morales. En réalité, aux processus d'islamisation de masse, s'ajoutent des mécanismes de réislamisation qui conduisent les musulmans à réévaluer leurs pratiques de l'islam. C'est plus précisément ce dernier phénomène que cet article interroge. Comme le suggère Olivier Roy, la réislamisation est « la conscience que l'identité musulmane, jusqu'ici simplement considérée comme allant de soi parce que faisant partie "J'épargne pour l'Au-delà"
