Cet article a pour objet des listes, produites entre 1978 et 1985, comprenant des noms d’agents de l’État brésilien accusés d’avoir commis des actes de torture sous le régime militaire. Il analyse leur processus d’élaboration, leurs auteurs, leurs limites et caractéristiques : régions concernées par ces pratiques, périodes, formes de divulgation des listes, organes répressifs impliqués et répercussion auprès de l’opinion publique. L’hypothèse centrale est que ces listes constituent une source privilégiée pour la compréhension d’un aspect peu connu de l’appareil répressif brésilien : sa composante humaine.
