MeAPO-36 containing various types and concentrations of metals (Mn, Co, Mg and Zn) in the reaction mixture were synthesized. Various levels of crystallinity were observed depending on the type and concentration of these metals and crystallization parameter. Calcination of the samples at 550°C resulted in varying levels of reduction in crystallinity depending on the type of divalent metal incorporated. W O -3 6 had the highest thermal stability. Ammonia TPD and IR spectrum of pyridine absorption show that MAPO-36 have concentrations of both Bronsted and Lewis acid sites. Preliminary catalytic evaluation on a wide range of MeAPOs show that they were active for the hydroxylation of phenol.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
