O Cadastro Técnico Multifinalitário (CTM) tem como base o cadastro imobiliário que pode ser realizado com levantamentos topográficos e, quando bem implantado no município, é uma ferramenta eficiente de gestão pública e planejamento urbano. O presente trabalho busca apresentar um estudo onde são comparados diferentes equipamentos e métodos de levantamento topográficos aplicáveis na implantação, manutenção e atualização de base cadastral municipal aplicado à municípios de pequeno e médio porte. Além disso, o estudo compara e discute alguns procedimentos e cuidados que devem ser observados na realização de levantamentos topográficos utilizando trena de fibra de vidro, trena a laser, estação total, receptores GNSS e Veículo Aéreo não Tripulado (VANT). São analisados os diferentes tipos de levantamento estudoe é apresentado os principais pontos positivos e negativos de cada método. Por fim o, trabalho apresenta e discute os principais resultados e compara os demais métodos de levantamento com o VANT. Os resultados indicam que os métodos estudados são métodos complementares e sua utilização são compatíveis para a implantação e manutenção do CTM. Também é evidenciado o elevado potencial do uso de VANT em atualização cadastral municipal de pequenas áreas isoladas. No desenvolvimento dos trabalhos foi possível identificar divergências no Boletim de Cadastro Imobiliário (BCI)da área objeto de estudo.
