Introdução: O acometimento etário específico, a cronicidade e a multimodalidade terapêutica são características do câncer de próstata que demandam investigação e vigilância dos aspectos da qualidade de vida relacionada a saúde (QVRS). O estudo de domínios contribui na análise de intervenções no câncer de próstata sobretudo quando a QVRS está em divergência ao ganho de sobrevida. Objetivo: Investigar a qualidade de vida relacionada a saúde de pacientes com câncer de próstata em radioterapia isolada (VMAT) ou adjuvância em uma unidade assistencial na cidade de Manaus. Método: Trata-se de um estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa com aplicação de questionário socioeconômico/clínico e o instrumento de avaliação da qualidade de vida European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire "Core" 30 itens (EORTC-QLQ-C30). A amostra estudada foi composta por 21 homens com câncer de próstata em radioterapia os quais eram predominantemente idosos em estadio tumoral II. Um terço desses pacientes observados foi submetido à prostatectomia prévia à radioterapia. Resultados: No inquérito clínico, a hipertensão arterial e a disfunção sexual foram as condições de maior frequência. À avaliação da QVRS, a função social apresentou o maior resultado dentre as escalas funcionais e a função emocional revelou maior impacto negativo com menor média no escore. Na escala de sintomas, o domínio mais afetado foi a constipação com maior média e mediana.
