A computação ubíqua e pervasiva permite que aplicações de monitoramento sensíveis ao contexto utilizem redes de sensores como fontes de dados, acoplando o mundo físico ao mundo da informação. Antes de serem consumidos, a qualidade dos dados coletados precisa ser avaliada. Com base nessa avaliação, a aplicação pode decidir pelo descarte ou uso dos dados para a detecção de situações de interesse, as quais podem variar ao longo do tempo e de acordo com o domínio da aplicação. Neste artigo, apresentamos uma arquitetura para aplicações de monitoramento com suporte integrado à qualidade da informação e gestão de situações de interesse. A validação dessa arquitetura é descrita com estudo de caso em monitoramento térmico.
